Let's see. Right now I'm creating an online learning module for a basic sciences professor - I'm writing things like "pyrimidine nucleotide metabolic pathways". I have no idea what it means.

Later today I have to attend a presentation on PowerPoint b/c the guy teaching didn't pass it through our office. I need to make sure what he's teaching today doesn't render my June PPT tutorial pointless. I'll also schmooze with the faculty who are attending.

Finally, I am monitoring our learning activities "salon" - faculty have a chance, twice a week, to drop in on us so we can help them with creating interactive lectures, case-based learning activities, etc.

Should be a fun day!

After work I'll go take a 20 minute nap in the tanning bed, then home for supper. Will probably walk for an hour then catch up on some tv shows.

Ugh. I have to take a 17th ce. French architecture midterm at 12:30PM and turn in a midterm for another one of my physical anthropology classes (human growth--hate that damn class). Then I have to go to pharmacy to get my birth control, stop by the liquor store to buy something and then study for my midterm on Thursday for Biosocial anthropology (taught by Tooby if you know him. Pioneer of evolutionary psychology. He is a smart man, but he is very old and his lectures are three hours long -_-; 5PM-8PM and the midterm is after the lecture, so I'm DYING).

-_-

It's alright. I'm going ratchet on Thursday

Working, and trying every remedy in the book to relieve my stupid clogged ear from flying with a cold last Friday.

I laid around all day. Now I'm at work for a few hours. Once I head home tonight, I plan on being lazy again. Perhaps watching New Girl! I do have some Arabic homework to work on. I'll get to that at some point tonight.

For Moppy:

(From the innerwebs)

"Use a neti pot sinus irrigator and nasal spray medication. It truly does work to open the eustachian tubes and allow them to drain the mucus that is causing popping and clogging."

Natural Method
"Put a few drops of eucalyptus oil in a bowl of steaming boiling water- place your head over the bowl and cover your head and the bowl with a towel.Inhale the steam for about 5 minutes, you should start dripping out the mucus within 2 or 3 minutes."

or

"Perform the Valsalva maneuver on yourself, as recommended by the Mayo Clinic. Hold your nostrils closed gently with your fingers as you close your mouth and force air toward the back part of your nose. Avoid forcing too much air into the nose, instead using a gentle, steady stream of air like you're blowing your nose."

I'm having a "get stuff done" day: confirming details about possible refinancing; checking in with clients (and trying to find new ones); training Baby Rotten (no more Ms. Nice Mom); researching new health insurance options.

And, as always, walking dogs.

^ Neti Pots freak me out, but I'm trying the nasal spray thingy as we speak. Trying to pop it diver-style hasn't worked, and I don't want to force it.

Will try the steamy eucalyptus (sounds naughty) if I am unsuccessful with the current trial.

Thanks heaps. You, you, you. You are the wind beneath my wings.

Went to a boring meeting at work, sent acknowledgement letters for a couple of cases, prepared another case to go to a third party (I won't get any more specific than that because unless you're in managed care, it wouldn't make a lot of sense) and am currently awaiting to hear what the medical director has decided on an appeal for another case I have. Kind of par for the course here.

After work, I plan to go jogging. I'd prefer to do it outside, but the weather's iffy, so I'll have to go to the gym to do it.

You're welcome! I feel sorry you're suffering with this; I hate sinus/ear issues. If Sherwin's on Diversey is still there, it may be a cheap source for Eucalyptus oil.
