These dreams go on when I close my eyes...

Fifi mentioned a strange dream she had the other day and i realized that i have downright weird dreams very often!

for example, in the past week, i have dreamt about:

Dancing with the Stars
that i was dating Sean Lennon (huh?!)
The Hunger Games (and i had only got to chapter 5 in the first book and not seen the movie)

i figure i can't be the only one!

let's spill all the weirdness that our neurons fire out during REM stages!!!

I often have super strange dreams, but within a few minutes of being awake I normally forget the details.

Last night I had a dream saria met a man on an elevator and also remembered that later in that same dream she was in a movie Mr. Spring and I were watching (just remembered that) and I was all "Hey, I know her...that's who sent us goodies!". Hello, random! Although in the grand scheme of dreams this one was pretty normal.

Dreams are so crazy, aren't they? Such surreal things happening that can't even be put in words sometimes.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
I've been having odd dreams lately too - over the past couple weeks I've had at least 4 dreams that someone steals my dog. I always go searching for her, but normally wake up before I can find her.
When I do wake up, I'm nervous and sad. I look down to the foot of our bed where she sleeps and I reach down to give her a big fat kiss.

I dream almost every night and they are usually weird. Sometimes I can only remember a couple seconds, sometimes they are like a 2 hour movie.
I remember dreams from years ago and all the way back to when I was a kid, 3 in particular - one involving a witch ,one involving a flying carpet, and one where I'm a murderer. And I mean cold blooded. I can still hear that gun going off. Yep, weird.

I have bizarre dreams... I have this weird thing that is always true in every dream... If I go into a public restroom in my dream, I always walk out of the restroom in a different place... Like, I'll walk in at my old highschool, and end up at Disneyland when I walk out (not a bad change, but disconcerting lol)! Anyone ever get that?

I have crazy, bordering on disturbing dreams most nights. But I don't remember the details at all. At least one every night involves my mom, who passed away in late 1998.

Love the title, Rou.

You know I'm a dreamer... lol. I dream every single night, and remember my dreams when I wake up. I have since I was little. I still remember having a reoccurring dream that Jack the Ripper was the Hamburgler. I've always enjoyed dreaming. I believe there can be something powerful in some dreams, and I find it funny how much the views of them have changed. They went from being viewed as prophetic to active dreamers being labeled with mental illness/forms of psychosis (2012). I always find it stranger when people say they don't dream. Everyone dreams an estimated 2 hours a night and each dream only lasts 5-10 minutes, but seem much longer. I looked that up after my ex told me something was seriously wrong with me because I dreamed every night. I said, "Um, no! You just can't remember ****.

I've not had any really interesting or bizarre dreams since my possible alien abduction Saturday night. Hehehe. In my lifetime, I've had more than I can count. I'm good at bizarre. Im sure I will have one soon, and when I do, I will keep this thread in mind.

*I should add the psychosis diagnosis is for really active dreamers. Well over the standard nightly dream time. There is a recent documentary on it that I really want to see. Sleep/dream studies intrigue me.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

I have very weird dreams. Often they are about zombies, or apocalyptic in nature. The other night the boyfriend wanted to wake me I was making so much noise.

Last night I was meeting Drew Barrymore. Not the first time for that one.

over the weekend, i dreamt that i was marrying Peter Strauss. for the young'uns, we're talking about an actor who was in just about every blockbuster mini-series on tv - back when the mini-series was king!!!

so here's my Peter Strauss story: when they were filming Kane & Abel in Toronto back in 1984, i was on my way to work one morning and the streetcar stopped on King Street right outside St. James Cathedral. the movie trucks were lined up along the side of the road and Peter Strauss stepped out of one of the trucks to go to the set. i guess i must have been staring (the man is gorgeous - and 30 years ago... *swoon*), because he caught my eye and winked at me! i must have turned a zillion shades of red and looked away quickly.

I have been having these crazy dreams wher I am either married, getting married, or pragnant! I think its because everyone i know is getting married or just got married and everyone is asking me when i'm getting married!

They dont seem to understand I dont ever what to get married!!!!

I think the one dream that stands out the most is when i was pragnant. i was trying to take a nap, but my boobs were so sore i had to be careful. in the dream i was falling asleep and i rolled onto my stomach and my boobies!! the pain was so intense i woke up for real!! I was in pain in real life! I asked some mommies in my life about being pragnant and if they had pain like that. they all told me yes! That dream freaked me right the hell out!!!
For a few years when I was younger I would have a re-occurring dream that me, my daughter and her step-sister were doing crafts in the dining room. And these men with guns would charge into the house. I would remember familiar furniture in my dream but the house wasn't familiar. However the house had a bay window. So I have never purchased or rented a house with a bay window!
I've been having dreams in which my parents are getting a divorce...it's extremely stressful because the dreams seem so real. I actually wake up with a headache. I have about 2 or 3 of these dreams a week. I'm older now and I didn't think them getting a (fake) divorce would affect me so much but I guess it would.

There no obvious reason why I'd be having these dreams. My parents are fine and happy together. They are remodeling the house, going out on dates, and generally having a good time. Idk why I'm having these dreams.

I also have multiple dreams per night. Usually it's around 3. Last night it was the divorce dream, a dolphin dream, and a tea time dream. Weird...

As I said, I'm a multiple dreams per night dreamer. Usually, it's around 3 but it can get worse than that. Sometimes I dream so much and it seems so real that I don't feel like I'm actually getting any restful sleep. I wonder if that's part of the psychosis element. Never feeling like my mind is a rest really takes a toll on me at times.
I had a dream that I had a make a weapon out of a lighter and a car of hairspray to defend myself against a scheduled attack by monkeys. I was trying to decide if the library or the bank was the better place to fight them from.

I never remember my dreams. I'm lucky if I remember a dream or have a vague recollection of a dream once a year.

In my early 20s I'd have these weird anxiety-type dreams. I'm back in high school wandering all over the school for what seems like hours trying to find my locker, finally find it, then can't remember the combination, fiddle with it for a while, get it open, then off to class, wander around trying to find my class for what seems like forever, finally find it, it's French class but in my dream I don't understand French (I took French for 3 years in high school), and then I usually wake up or the dream ends at this point.
That's so interesting! If you remember the name of the film could you please let me know? I'd love to see it.

I really don't believe in the psychosis element. Maybe for a rare few, but people often explain too much stuff away with a negative. I can have numerous dreams per night and if I take am ambien... Forget about it!!! I'm trapped in an REM hell all night long.

Last night I kept dreaming that my father was yelling/screaming something. I couldn't understand what he was saying. I kept waking up, and I even tried to call him at one point. He stays up most of the night and sleeps all day anyway. He must have went to bed early because he didn't answer.

I then started dreaming that I was in my parents house and people had broken in and were lying in wait to kill all 3 of us. I took them out, one by one. I was slick!!

I woke up on and off all night though. Yawn!! I'm tired today.

* I'm sure the calls at work Monday inspired my dreams. Everybody was fighting, and people were shooting at each other. People are always a handful when they are coming off of a bender on the last day of a long holiday weekend.

I'm let down because he specifically told me it was a documentary. Anyway, he's now saying it's Taking Shelter, which I have seen the previews for and do want to watch. I keep hoping he's confused and will remember something else. Knowing him, anything is possible.
