2 maybe a 3 at times. I am pretty textbook since having kids. Some cramping initially, some PMS, very regular and about a week of flow.

Two kids and no birth control taken ever. My period was wackadoo when I was younger. I would get it every few months.

5, and my body does crazy uncomfortable stuff leading up to it, right after, and exactly a week after it. Then in the mid-point between menstruation. It's a little ridiculous. Need to get it figured out.

^In short, that face is it.

Yes! I'm on the pill so I elect to miss my periods for a few months. I forget how much I hate having uterus this I'm reminded. it's cleansing, but...i guess it could be better than something ripping through my vagina. with skipping my period consistently., after 3 months i get more sensitive and emotional than usual ( ending usually with bickering with my SO) so boyfriend will beg me to have a period. it's like a weird build up of hormone that decided to spill over. one my period does start, i'm actually relieved. so it's kinda annoying lol

5+++

I'd describe all the awful moments but it'd take to long. To say I hate it would be an understatement.

#4 until relatively recently. I had bad cramps as a teenager and the first two days were extremely heavy. Also, my period lasted 7 days. I went on the pill for the first time in my 20's. They didn't have the one where you only get your period every three months back then, so while I still disliked it, at least I didn't have to deal with the cramps and it was shorter. Instead of it lasting 7 days, it only lasted for 5, like many other women. I went off them within a year as I hated the weight gain. After I went off them, the cramps returned, but not as bad as before. Also, my period went back to being 7 days long, which I didn't like at all. I went back on the pill 3 years ago as my cycle started going out of whack and my cramps are non existent again and my period now only lasts 5 days. These days, I'm fairly neutral on it as I'm on Seasonique, the kind that only gives you a period every three months. That's the part that I do like.

I have never had a use for them since I knew by the time I was 10 that I never wanted to have kids. So for the last 40 years I've had to put up with them for no reason. And now I'm 55 and should be having fewer or no periods. But no. Now I have them every 2 weeks, heavy for 5-7 days. WTF.
Jeepy stole my 6! And pretty much the same reason. I've always known I was never having kids, why the EFF would I want my period? It was terrible in my teens & twenties, then I started taking BC and it leveled out and became somewhat easier but never never happy about it.

OMG Claudine, me too. My period showed up to deliberately annoy me for posting about how annoying it is. It was four days late, and I wasn't the least bit sad about it.

Tampons are quite the godsend. I don't know why I suffered before them

I wouldn't make it through life without tampons. And yes, my period started today. I've been period free for a whopping 8 days so yay me. And how could I forget the migraines?
I'm going into the other room to use some curse words since we aren't allowed to do that here.

Jeepy they won't do anything? Not even a uterine ablation? I'm 30 and my specialist would do one in a heartbeat if I didn't want more kids.

I'm at a 7. I hate it. The last two years have been a period roller coaster. Again, if I didn't want more kids I'd be done with it altogether.

YES! I thought I was gonna be alone! I'm trying for a baby and am very irregular! When it shows up I'm sad this isn't "THE month", but I feel hopeful about the next month.

Now if I could get pregnant without it, I'd give it a friggin' TEN! LoL!

I'm just not big on unneeded procedures. I joke with my doc about tearing out my uterus but there's really no need for it. My periods aren't life threatening (except to those around me sometimes. hahaha.) and they aren't painful. Plus, insurance wouldn't cover it so I'd have to come up with a bunch of money to pay for it. Now if it was for my for migraines, I would do whatever it took. Pain is a big motivator.

I just patiently wait for menopause. It has to happen sooner or later.

Me too! I spot for a day or two, once every 3 months, but not what I'd call a period compared to my 8-9 days of torture I used to have. I am doing the countdown to Mirena replacement: 14 months!!!

If it were just for my period, I'd say between 3&4. Mine has gotten lighter and shorter lately. However, the migraines that accompany the whole menstrual cycle, makes it a 10.

1) I actually like it.

2) Totally neutral about it -- neither like nor dislike.

3) It's a mild annoyance, but not a big deal.

4) I dislike it.

5) It is the bane of my existance. I dread its arrival for weeks and I am miserable during the entire time it's here, forced to change my lifestyle, dress differently and miss out on activities I enjoy, anxiously counting the days and minutes until it is gone. The only thing that dampens the celebration that accompanies its departure is the unfortunate knowledge that it will soon return.
Once upon a time I'd say 1. Now I'll say 3. Recently the flow has gotten a tad heavier and more steady, which wasn't the case b4 and I'm having to adjust. I think this change is a spiritual thing tho...

It was the bane of my existance. That's why I am glad I haven't had one in over six years.
