Another child killed for being black.

I just cannot read these stories about children being murdered anymore. I'm overcome with so much emotion. The thought of what it must be like for those poor parents is just too horrific. If I let myself go there, I will start sobbing.

I hope there will be justice in this case, as well as others like it.

The guy was also 75, hes older and may have not even saw if he was black.

I'm pretty sure the article said he confronted the boy and shot him point blank in the chest.
I just want to do what I want to do when I want to do it.

OMG, he actually confronted the kid with his mother standing there and shot him at close range?!

For some reason, I thought the old man caught a glimpse of someone rummaging throught the garbage and shot at him from a distance.

OMG...another Trayvon Martin.

And wth is w/ the "cancer defense?" Yeah, that really absolves him of responsibility...

I can see the dementia excuse. It's the first thing I thought of, even before my first post. It's the reason why we removed all the guns from my inlaws' house when my FIL started accusing imagined people of doing various imagined things in their house.
Regardless of whether he shot the kid because he's black, he absolutely shot him in cold blood. Twice. A 13 year old child. It's sickening.

However, it is disgusting that an elderly man shot an innocent kid- regardless of anyone's color.
