True Blood new season 6/10
Now that Walking Dead and Game of Thrones is over for the season, I can look forward to TB. I wonder how good/bad/ pointless the story lines will be ? I heard Alan Ball is gone , that may be a good thing.

I am so excited!!! And I would be more excited if I didn't have to work Sunday night Can't say I was really impressed with last season. I'd been waiting for it, with baited vampire breath, because book 4 was my favorite. And I am team Eric all the way, but the show did not compute. I hope this season will be better.

First of all I'm still ticked they killed off Jesus. I wanted him and Lafayette to be together until True Blood was finished. And I why do I get the feeling Alan Ball wanted Jesus to be named that because he played a gay man that happened to turn into some weird devil character. LOL! IDK.. I could be wrong.
Anyway.. Alan Ball decided to step down as showrunner for True Blood because he's going to executive produce a series for Cinemax and another show for HBO. He gave the reigns over to Mark Hudis. But Ball still has his long term deal with HBO and will be advising on True Blood. He just is focusing on his other projects. Mark Hudis has worked for HBO in the past as well as co-executive produced True Blood for 2 seasons.

I really want Tara to stay dead, but I know she won't.
Looking forward to seeing Russell.
I am mad for Lafayette. Yum.
I still like this show tho I'm not as keen on it as I once was. All the fairies and witches and were-everythings just muddled things up. But I will still be watching every minute.

^ Love LaLa, and I was horribly upset about Jesus too. Between that and Tara -> heartbreak and despair. But I can't wait to see what they are going to do with that story line. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that Alfre Woodard will be back.
I read that A.B will still be advising, from time to time. I really don't mind if they stray from the books. I like getting double story lines, for the price of one, as long as they keep the feel. Last season felt lacking. I still loved it, in a die hard fan way, but At least the King of Mississippi will add some flare.

Why won't they just stop. I really disliked season 5. It was so bad, I can't even articulate how bad I thought it was.

I also cannot wait for the new season, although the show has changed a lot since season 1...
I also miss The Walking Dead, I was unsatisfied with the way it went off.
I wasn't aware there were TB books o.O that is something i'll look into i love to read, plus the books are usually better than the movies/tv series anyway.

Did anyone watch?? I thought it was better than last year's opening episode with Sookie spending a year in there fairy plane that went nowhere.
Pam was pretty funny in her sweatsuit. I was cleaning while it was on so I missed a thing here or there:what did they do with Debbie and where did Jesus go?

I just watched and jumped out of my skin at the end, and I'm not jumpy. lol. I have no idea where Jesus went. That's still unknown. I'm assuming they buried Debbie, but I do not believe that was shown. Unless I missed something too.

It's kind of apples & oranges. You might not want to read them (I prefer the books).

I too was disappointed with last season and have made a vow that if this season doesn't get it together I will be done with TrueBlood.
I wish Tara stayed gone too she was SOOO annoying last season and I hope that Lafayette gets back to the old Lafayette..they got him too sensitive now and I just do not like it.
I also hope neither Bill or Eric gets back with Sookie and she may be the main character but she too is annoying. Overall love the show - lol

Was anyone else creeped out by Eric banging the heck out of the girl he kept calling his sister? Gross.
I liked lastoo nights episode. I'm glad its back.
I dont like all the faerie stuff either, but I guess they had to put it in there a little to explain Sookie's weirdness.

I'm pretty sure that in this case, she is his sister in that they both had the same maker, Godric.

I am never creeped out by Eric being naked. Never, ever! And I wasn't creeped out by his 'relationship' with Nora. I read that was coming up. She's was never his sister in life, only in death. Besides, Pam's talked about sleeping with Eric before, and she's his (not really) 'daughter'. lol. It's all matter of companionship in death being given labels that relate to life. Godric was big on labels. Father, brother, son, friend, daughter, sister, cousin, anybody...
If done well, the faerie story line isn't bad. They didn't introduce it correctly last season, at all. I think they will attempt to correct that this season. They better because they made a mess of it.

I understood that, it was just them calling eachother 'brother' and 'sister' one minute, and wailing on eachother the next, was weird.

I had to watch the The Killing since it's about to end so I only watched a little of the premier last night. What I saw was pretty good. It looks like it will be better than last season. I think turning Tara into a vampire is going to be pretty interesting to watch. I am not sure if I will like it or not. Only time will tell.

Vamp!Steve Newlin is the BEST! Also Pam in a Wal Mart sweat suit.
And I kind of hope that Tara legitimately tries to kill Sookie/gets a better story line and character development beyond being the show's punching bag.

I still crack up when the vamps get ejected from homes. Steve telling " I love you!!! " was hilarious.
