So far the only loophole I can find around it is getting it at Costco with the exception of the iPhone since they don't sell it.

That's odd. I guess even if you order it online from the apple store (or anywhere) that would happen?

I've never heard of that before. I guess California has something figured out :/

Talking

So I got an iphone 4s yesterday afternoon. Verizon is so much trouble when switching over phones, etc. It took a while, luckily the rep and I were patient. So today I'm playing around with it, I synced all my games and apps, son and I are LOL while playing with Siri! She doesn't understand us half the time and comes up with some really odd responses. I should record it for youtube! LOL

One thing I don't like so far, I cannot use my already paid and downloaded music as ringtones, like I could before. So far...but I'm looking into that!

Not sure if you want to make your own, but I use RMaker and can pull from anything on my phone.

I think that's the one I just downloaded. If not, then I will! Thanks! I want to mostly use the songs I already downloaded as ringtones, like before.

I email it to myself, then add it to iTunes on my laptop, then it's an option on my phone. I'm sure there is a way to do it all on your phone, but I haven't figured that out

I have some I made myself (ring tones). If you look online there are tutorials on how to do it. But I am kinda lazy so I just buy them through itunes

I love my mission impossible ring tone

So now I'm looking for a good, sturdy but not-too-bulky case.

I'm thinking of this one: Amazon.com: Otterbox Defender Series Hybrid Case & Holster for iPhone 4 & 4S - Retail Packaging - Light Teal/Deep Teal: Cell Phones
& Accessories

I have the commuter and really like it. It doesn't feel bulky, but the phone still feels protected.

Amazon.com: OtterBox Commuter Series Case for iPhone 4S: Cell Phones & Accessories

ETA ~ Haven't seen the defender one in person, but lots of comparisons in the reviews under this one. People seem to think it's bulkier.

I know it's a different phone, but DH is looking to get the Commuter from Otterbox because it's less bulky. BestBuy had a metric isht ton of iPhone cases if you wanted to look at something in person.

You really should get something in a teal color though because the case I'm looking at is also teal and we can be case twins. I'm feeling very middle school right now.

Red face

Yeah, that's why I haven't ordered anything yet. I'm torn between the Commuter and Defender. I saw both in person today, and I did like the Commuter but it seems slippery on the back. The Defender has the silicone to the outside and hard case inside, so it is sticky-ish. But then I wonder how hard it would be to put in a pocket/purse. And it is a bit bulkier but not too much.

I had just a silicone case for my Touch, but then it had a metal back, not glass. I worry about that.

My sister has a Defender for her Droid. She likes it but does say it's more slippery.

Definitely TEAL!!! We can be triplets then!

I have a Defender because I'm a clutz. It is bulky. I'm thinking about the Lifeproof case, though.

Siri types my posts for me.

I wouldn't suggest using your iPhone as your mp3. I don't know how much you use it but it'll kill your battery and music will just take up too much space. I have the newer version of the classic iPod and the iPhone and I love the separation of the 2. Wait for the 5 though!

I use my phone as an mp3 player. There's plenty of space for music and I just charge it it up when I get home. I like to use it at the gym, when I can play on facebook and prat about on the web when I get bored on the bike.

I'd like to wait for 5 but I bet it's going to be more expensive than 4/4s and probably delayed like the White 4s was.

I didn't get round to picking up my new phone today I may have time to get it tomorrow.

What i'm struggling with is do I buy a sim free phone or get it on a 24 month contract?
