Default Ever have an SO with a name so bad/odd you were embarrassed?

Or wouldn't say it yourself but called them "honey" or something similar?

I haven't. But I imagine that will be the experience of whoever dates Jermajesty Jackson in the future.

I dated a guy in hs with a pretty bad first name. I pretty much called him by his middle name.

I dated a guy whose last name was c-o-ckfield. I never called him by his last name, though.

Yeah, my husband. His last name is a critter name. A very uncomplimentary critter name. I did not take his name.

He loves his name though. It's been very helpful for him in business, because everyone remembers it.

^^ Heh. Everyone mis-pronounces my last name, and turns it into an uncomplimentary critter name!

But as for the original question... No. Haha

This thread idea makes me laugh. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks of strange thoughts like this.

A girlfriend of mine has a bad last name, sounds kind of sexual. The joke was always that she'd find someone with a worse last name. She did. It's super "sexual".
They aren't married, but we joke now about their hyphenated last names

Do you happen to be a Roach? I knew a girl once with that last name, and this one teacher kept trying to pronounce it "row-shay" to make it nicer, until the girl said, "No. My name is Roach. Like the bug. Get over it."

I don't have a SO with a funky name, but I did have a friend with the last name of Butt.

My husband hates his first name (I don't think it's bad at all) and requested that I don't call him by it. So, yeah, I do call him "honey" or a shortened form of his name.

His last name isn't bad at all. However, because I took on his name I get a lot of guff for it. Our last name is identical to a popular 80's heavy metal band, and coincidentally I'm a musician. So whenever I go to a music store the salespeople always smirk and/or make funny comments when my name pops up in the store computer.

There is a professor in California named Harold dyck. No joke. Google him. Poor guy. That's the worst I've ever heard.

Oh, I don't know. As far as random strangers with bad names go, I think this one is worse:

My husband's first name is the same as someone I worked with and didn't at all get along with. So I called him "hon" and I still do. He calls me "hon" too. We never call each other by our names.

I dated a guy named Herman once. And also a guy named Etienne (but he went by his middle name).

That's about it; pretty much everyone else I've ever been linked to has had normal, common names you hear every day.

No strange or offensive last names either. the worst was probably Blanks.
