Sometimes when I am walking down the long hallway toward my office, I think it would be cool to do a cartwheel. This is strange because going to work doesn't make me feel happy but I guess a cartwheel would lighten my mood.

ME TOO!!! I admit I think its scary sometimes. A few somes the impulse was so strong I have had to excuse myself to get a grip. When I'm super tired, I think "maybe I can get away with it, because I'm really dreaming."

I had this urge as well. Then I got drunk and gave myself a really bad hair cut adn had to get a super short do. Loved it! Sometimes my urges are not so irrational.

While driving to a meeting, I had the urge to tie my co-workers hair to the headrest. (I was sitting behind her)

When I'm suffering huge emotional pain, I get the urge to physically hurt myself.

I used to cut - now I just get the urge.

(I'm sorry if this is a 'trigger,' but on a thread like this it needs to be said)

for those who have impulses/urges to jump from buildings or bridges, what do you think about bungee jumping? Do you think that would satisfy these urges?

I often have the urge to yell at complete strangers "Are you Crazy???" because clearly they are.

Most recently to a guy who was wearing a t-shirt that said "I like girls to p-- on me."

When I used to go to the gym, and my adrenaline and endorphins would kick in, I used to want to break into song and dance before everyone across the line of treadmills, but I never did. Something from Oklahoma or Guys and Dolls or some kind of swamp rock thing (Bad Moon Rising, etc.).

Sometimes when I'm swimming, I get the urge to stay under water past when my chest starts to hurt.

Or when I'm at the train station, I get the urge to jump on the tracks and run across to see if I could make it before a train came.
