Are you a "birthday" person?
I don't. I've kinda stopped celebrating them all together. But I have friends who start at midnight and don't stop until midnight of the next day. Good for them, I'm happy to join in. I just don't get it, you know?
Do you celebrate every second of your day?

Don't care. I've never taken a day off to celebrate my birthday and I really don't make a big deal out of it.

I don't care to celebrate my birthday because it just doesn't seem like a big deal. It stopped being one after I turned 16. But I must say that I love celebrating and making a big deal out of other people's birthdays. I love giving presents, love taking them out to eat, and love gathering for parties and celebrating happy moments. I've learned though that I need to let other people celebrate mine even if in a much lesser way because it takes away the joy and happiness they feel. It dawned on me not too long ago when my son said it made him feel sad that I don't enjoy my birthday.
So I'm still not caught up in the fact that it's my birthday and I'm going to get presents but I look forward to spending time with family and friends.

I used to be, but one year I actually celebrated too much, and it wore me out. I finally fell asleep on day three with a pounding headache, and haven't felt the same excitement since.
I still like to do something special, though. And it's nice to have one's existence acknowledged.

No, birthdays weren't even a big deal when I was a kid. I was born in a very popular month in my family.

I try to avoid them. I have bad luck birthdays. As in, everything usually goes wrong. Since I've been a teenager. From people not showing up to a surprise party, to everyone cancelling our plans one by one at the last minute, to my boyfriend getting stuck at work, or me getting a migraine - its not worth it. I prefer nobody making a big deal out of my birthday. But I usually do a little something BC my kids want to acknowledge it.
This year boyfriend came home with a couple of flowers and a cake and had the girls help him secretly set up, and called me downstairs so they can sing to me. That was all we did. It was the best birthday. Then the following week we went away for the weekend.

Nah, we were never big into birthdays, even as kids. It started to lose its appeal to me in about middle school because of the hassle of organizing parties are whatnot. Now we just like to go out for dinner somewhere and call it a day.

Yeah, they're not a huge deal to me... But my family likes birthdays, so I try to humor them.

I just like to have a day of "me" time for my birthday. I want to be home, alone, relaxing, with no one needing anything from me. I don't need fussing with lunches, dinner, presents, etc.

I've never been much of a birthday person. The most I do is get a cake (well, my mom usually buys them) and eat out. Afterwards, I just chill. I'm not into partying like a wild animal, etc.
I think for my 23rd, I just want to maybe get my girlfriends together and go out to eat downtown. And maybe go to a few bars and chill.
Or maybe get my friends together, make food in the kitchen and watch movies all night. I'm not a hard person to please. I don't need the moon, the sky, and the stars. I'm happy enough with a card from friends too. I don't need gifts, just recognition that it's my birthday (say it once) and that's it.
I like my birthdays to be relaxing.

I'm the same way. I get more excited about planning out someone else's birthday. I think it's because you love or care about someone else very much so you just want them to have a great time!

No I hate birthdays. I've hated them since birth, lol. They've always sucked so I never look forward to them. I usually cry on them too.

This will probably make me sound young, but after 21, my birthdays have felt meaningless. (It's like, "Yay I can...still legally buy alcohol").
My next milestones are: next year when I turn 25, when my car insurance goes down, and when I turn 30, since every makes a big ol' deal about that birthday.
That said, I like to carve out some time to do something fun for myself. This year, I saw a baseball game and went shopping.

YUP!!! Love them.
Now, while I do enjoy my birthday week, I also love the birthdays of other people. For some reason I get super excited for them as well.

Yep, I'm a birthday person. Birthday's have always been a big deal in our family. My siblings, parents and our children come together for every birthday. On milestone birthdays we have large parties.
