Default Double amputee qualifies for Olympic 400 meter

Is this guy BAD or what!

Or do you agree w/ the 2008 ruling that he has an unfair ADVANTAGE?

I'm thrilled. I love the Olympics and I cannot wait to see him race.

yeah, because running with fewer muscles with hard impact on the ends of bone that weren't exactly meant for that is suuuuuuch an advantage. I hope to see him running soon

On a similar note, this is my ex's 3rd wife. She's kind of a b1tch and not a great mom but I have to give her all the kudos for her drive and tenacity. People are amazing sometimes.

His prosthetics are far lighter and springier than biological legs, and physiology research has shown that he exerts less energy to sprint than able-bodied runners. So, I don't think it's a ludicrous claim that he has an advantage.

But, I don't think he should be excluded. He's a phenomenal athlete and deserves his chance to compete.

I'd love to see the paralympics seen as the competition for special folks who have survived hard situations to be able to compete beyond the level of the able-bodied...

But seriously - so cool, and good luck to him!
