Default Question about dentures and breath

I know this would vary somewhat from person to person but, in general, would you expect someone w/ a full removable upper denture to have fresher or stankier breath than someone w/ all his/her own teeth?

Fresher. You can take them out and really clean them.

But, if no gum maintenance is done, perhaps stinker.

But would the benefits of a thorough out-of-mouth nightly cleaning outweight the problem of food getting caught up in it during the day?

Maybe? Food particles get caught in between the spaces of real teeth, too.

Good question! I've wondered this myself. Someone here must have dentures and can give a good answer.

So you're saying it's just "particles" that get caught under a dental plate? I was picturing it more like half your sandwich. hmmmm

I was thinking similar particles for both, but I'm not sure if dentures collect more.
