Spinoff: I don't want....
I don't want:
those monstrous Japanese hornets to migrate
to have to work until I'm old and grey (oh, wait, that happened already)
to ever stop being playful

Definitely don't google them. It's nightmare time. If they come to NYC I'm going to go live near Rou in Canada.

I'd rather not deal with those again!! There was a nest of by my house last year. I had my porch light on and started hearing this incredibly loud buzzzzzzzz. When I opened the door I found at least 10 hovering around the light. Nightmare!!
I had to deal with them for weeks. They didn't try to sting me but some got too close for comfort. My cousins dog seriously decreased their numbers, but I never could locate their nest.
Worn out iPhone. Need I say more?

Fifi do you live in Asia? Were these the Japanese type? How did your cousin's dog decrease their numbers?
Eeekkk!

I live in Western North Carolina. We've had the 2 inch long Japanese hornets for years. Though, your thread prompted me to ask around and no one has seen them this year. Which doesn't hurt my feelings.

No wait, sorry, and NM. We have the European, though they are monsters. They are mistakenly referred to as Japanese. I just looked at pics and then double checked. They were not here as I was growing up but made there way in around 8 years ago. They typically don't sting though I would hate to find out what their sting is like.

I worked in N. Carolina years ago. I'm so happy that I never saw those.
I loved N. Caro though. Had a really good time. Thanks for chiming in.

Im glad you enjoyed your time in NC. It has its moments, but its a pretty good place. I love the area I call home. And you're welcome & sorry I chimed wrong. Lol.
Also, I can add that I don't want...
To retire from my current job. I love it, but I would like to switch positions once I have 15 years in.
