I would think spanx would help, that's what I use it for. Not to look smaller but to pull in the jiggly areas.
I'm not sure what you mean by jiggly, but I don't think I have jiggly areas - just parts that are there when I'd rather them not be. I just know I don't really look any different when I put it on. That's OK though - the way I want to look in clothes is my biggest motivator to drop weight because nothing else will make me look the way I want.
If you don't know and the spanx doesn't make a difference, you probably don't have any .

It really depends on what kind you're trying on. What I have is very comfortable and is only tight enough to smooth out panty-line. Others will cram you in to make you a size smaller. It's up to you how confining it is.

I have no experience with 'sucker-inner type things' but I had to come in here and see what a monster skirt was. I love it!!

Probably the only thing in my favour, but I'll take it

also, if you're just looking to smooth things out you could just get some spandex athletic shorts. They usually have a higher up waste and aren't super long depending on if you go for the biking or volleyball kind. they're not usually as much hold but they're comfy and can smooth things out. I put mine on under my pencil skirts when needed and its too hot for hose or my "torture device" (as my mother calls them)

I'm envious, i have a lot of friends that are firm..even if they are bigger they don't look good, dont get muffin top, dont need spanx, can wear very thin fitted clothing easily without having to wear anything underneath. I hate dealing with spanx and lines(from undergarments and my jiggly stuff). And in the hot humid summer, you really dont want to deal with spanx. I've had to find looser dresses for me to wear so I dont have to.

I have the Power Panty -- they are a bish to put on, but once they are on I like what they do. As I am struggling to get them on, I swear that they are going to squeeze the life out of me, but they always end up being surprisingly comfortable and definitely smooth things out. Perhaps I need to repurchase in a larger size. LOL

During various sales they had over the years, I aquired their knee-length skirt, capris and pants. The skirt I must not have loved because I put it somewhere where I can't find it and I can't remember if it's a skirt-ish Spanx underneath it, or Power Panty under it. The capri and pants feel odd going on because the legs are so long, but they are great once they are on and I feel confident wearing them. Would I repurchase any of these, even if a good sale happens again? No.
