Spanx... I'm scared

Like Tree2Likes

That's kind of me. I'm hourglass (I have a high waistline, though, which annoys me)

what I'm mainly trying to hide is my flabby lower belly... really more loose skin than anything. And I have two lumpy saddle bags on my upper thighs that I just don't want to show. I don't mind looking plump in the skirt... I AM plump. I just don't like the way those saddle bags stick out.

And how do you know your size?

Also, are they a total ibtch to put on? Is it like trying to put on a scuba suit?

I have no experience with 'sucker-inner type things' but I had to come in here and see what a monster skirt was. I love it!!

also, if you're just looking to smooth things out you could just get some spandex athletic shorts. They usually have a higher up waste and aren't super long depending on if you go for the biking or volleyball kind. they're not usually as much hold but they're comfy and can smooth things out. I put mine on under my pencil skirts when needed and its too hot for hose or my "torture device" (as my mother calls them)

started CG on 6/25/12.
  • 2c with a strait underneath
  • normal elasticity on top, none on the underneath
  • Fine side of Normal
  • Thick hair
  • Poriosity is a mystery. I think its all over the place.

I've had to find looser dresses for me to wear so I dont have to.
I have the Power Panty -- they are a bish to put on, but once they are on I like what they do. As I am struggling to get them on, I swear that they are going to squeeze the life out of me, but they always end up being surprisingly comfortable and definitely smooth things out. Perhaps I need to repurchase in a larger size. LOL

During various sales they had over the years, I aquired their knee-length skirt, capris and pants. The skirt I must not have loved because I put it somewhere where I can't find it and I can't remember if it's a skirt-ish Spanx underneath it, or Power Panty under it. The capri and pants feel odd going on because the legs are so long, but they are great once they are on and I feel confident wearing them. Would I repurchase any of these, even if a good sale happens again? No.
