I'm gonna take a break I guess to let my body kinda reset. I get my surgery 10/26 but until then I got some spermicide suppositions to use with condoms for now. May be getting into a new relationship soon...so if/when I am I guess we can discuss options. I'm hoping giving my body a break...and getting this cyst out will let it all go back to the way it was.

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
So when I went to get more supplies...I asked the pharmacist. She said unless I get something, some kind of hormone...the bleeding won't stop. Imma call Gyno tomorrow to tell the about the clots...and to ask if they still want me to put NuvaRing back in...or if Gyno has to call some other hormone into pharmacy to stop this. Cause right now....I can barely leave the house

So I called DVR'd office early...I'm still waiting for on call dr to call back. I haven't put the ring back in like dr told me Saturday because of the blood clots I found after...and have been having all weekend. Hope someone calls me back soon....didn't wanna put NuvaRing back on until a dr knew my symptoms. Perhaps they could give me an alternative. I heard something about someone getting progesterone to stop bleeding so I can go back to work...atleast tomorrow

Ok....emergency dr told me to put another ring in to stop the bleeding, but when I take it out...it's gonna start again! I'm just gonna die!

I'm so sorry you are going through this Goddess. I hope you find a solution soon. Hugs to you.
Thanks Coily,

I put a new one in...feel a little nauseous. Dr seems to think that it's not the NuvaRing causing the bleeding...it's my cyst and fibroids...the NuvaRing tappered the bleeding a bit...then it was all awful when I took it out. So I'm gonna try to ride this out till my surgery. Will take it out after that if dr let's me...I'll be off work for a week after so hopefully my hormones can reset and with the cyst gone the bleeding will let up. Otherwise I have a legitimate reason to look at more serious procedures cause this bleeding can't continues. If dr suggests that I have the fibroids taken out too...then I may try to do it at that time...I'll talk to him about ablation...since it doesn't sound like much recovery time. But when this is over...I don't want the hormones

What kind of surgery are you having?
Just out of curiosity, have you told any of the guys you've met about your condition?

I had an ablation a month ago. Too easy!

However it didn't work for me. I'm scheduling a hysterctomy in November. But I hope the ablation works for you!

eta - I went back and saw you're having a cyst removed.

A tubal ligation shouldn't throw you into menopause. But some people believe in the "tubal syndrome" that supposedly results in the need for a hysterectomy some years later.

If you get your ovaries out, you will begin menopause. But not from having your uterus or cervix out or having a tubal or Essure or an ablation.

A gf of mine had fibroids and heavy bleeding for over a year and they incised her from her thigh/groin and cut off the blood flow to the bibroids...and she is thrilled w/ the result. About three days recovery.

Another gf went in to have a cyst removed and woke up w/ a radical hysterectomy bc they found tumors everywhere...and she was only 20 years old! When she woke up from the surgery, the surgeon said, "please tel me you already have children." She put up one finger (one son) and then passed out.

Another gf had fibroids and heavy bleeding and he had then removed (initially thought there was only one but there turned out to be two). Her surgeon basically had to remove half her uterus but said she would be able to carry a fetus to term if she wanted children but would need to deliver via c-section. the treatment helped for about 8 years and now the same problems are starting again. A hysterectomy is being strongly pushed on her bc of her age (43) but she's fighting it.

There are so many possible treatments and outcomes. Best wishes!

Thanks...and yeah I told ex army guy about my issues...he's very supportive. I'm looking into ablation...I have federal insurance so it's only an option if its covered. The cyst is on my left ovary...and very large...they may end up having to take it...or most of it.

So the tubal ligation wouldn't help the bleeding tho? Cause if not than I should concentrate more on fibroid removal and hope they don't come back...or the nova sure thing

Ablation has a very high success rate (the hot saline balloon)...the higher the older you are, apparently.

But it will make it difficult or impossible to get pregnant and carry a fetus to term. I think I remember you saying you don't want children. But it's something to think about.

Yeah....no kids...don't want any.

So the only issue with ablation, assuming ofcourse that after the cyst is removed the bleeding doesn't just stop on its own, will be what the insurance will cover

I really hope if its needed its covered because this **** ain't gonna fly for long.

I put the NuvaRing in last night and it basically stopped but it has in general been slowing down at night. Anyhow so this morning...I'm still leaking thru a super jumbo in about 30 minutes. We'll see if it lets up. I'll try and manage work today...and it should let up about 6pm tonight. If I wake up to this same crap tomorrow...I'm callin dr back. He's gonna hate me when this is over.

I've read that the bleeding can be caused by estrogen...and stopped by progesterone...well there are both in the NuvaRing...so maybe I need straight progesterone

Still bleeding. Was getting lighter at night and heavy in the day. When it was light when I woke up today... I was hopeful. But no it got heavy tonight. Looks like it may lighten up and let me sleep...but I'm not supposed to bleed with this ring in. I'm calling dr back tomorrow. At this rate they won't be able to see anything from my colposcopy.

Good news a friend at my job said she had NovaSure done and her insurance paid...it seems she has bcbs too. So I'm hopeful!

I was having very heavy, extended bleeding. Progesterone fixed it. I took it 10 days, then nothing 18 days. I can't remember. Did you have your hormone levels checked? The reason ablation was recommended to me was my Dr doesn't want me on progesterone for an extended amount of time at me age (31), and ablation could fix my bleeding.

I was told after ablation it would be dangerous to get pregnant. The reason it's not an option for me right now is SO and I are trying to get pregnant. I've had 6 seemingly normal cycles with no hormones so fingers crossed we will get pregnant soon.

Yeah..imma ask if there is something he can call in for me tomorrow. And I Seoul ask about ablation also...just wanna find out what kind of birth control would I be able to be on after to be sure I wouldn't get pregnant. Cause I wanna stop the hormones. I wonder if then they tie my tubes...or if I can get paragard again this time with no issues.

By the way...hope u guys get preggers soon!

Ok... Got progesterone today...per Internet it seems to have some yucky side effects so I hope I'm not on it long. Gonna get ablation with my cyst removal do hopefully that helps everything and I can get off all the damn hormones

And what were ur side effects on progesterone Jess? I'm only 34 so I probably shouldn't be on it long either

Look you the effects of post tubal ligation to be sure. There are some reported after effects that I don't want to mess with so I ruled it out.

Progesterone worked pretty well for me but I get this weird rash during pregnancy, It's very uncommon, and the progesterone actually caused it too, so I had to stop.
