Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

I didn't have any real side effects with the progesterone. No mood swings or depression which I get while on hormonal BC. Nothing out of the ordinary. I never took it for longer than 6 months in a row so maybe that's why I never noticed any side effects. Still my Dr. doesn't want me on any HRT long term at my age. He says the long term side effects from HRT can be damaging and he is more concerned about me and keeping me healthy for my existing children than risking that. I totally understand and agree.

I hope your surgery goes well and you get some relief. I know how you feel and it's awful. It can really mess with you physically and emotionally. Please keep us updated. And thanks for the encouragement

Thanks. Got just about 30 days to go...I'm doing all the research I can on ablation. Really hope it works for me for a good long while...if I can push a fibroid surgery or hysterectomy back a year I could save loads of time...but I won't live with this mess I wanna actually be able to live. I don't want hrt either...so I hope he plans to take me off this soon. My bleeding has already been way lighter today and I've only taken 2 pills

I was told after ablation it would be dangerous to get pregnant. The reason it's not an option for me right now is SO and I are trying to get pregnant. I've had 6 seemingly normal cycles with no hormones so fingers crossed we will get pregnant soon.
I know this is old now. But Jess....why did ur dr not want u on progesterone extended? Cause I'm 34...and my dr said since progesterone and NuvaRing stop the bleeding I could remain on it indefinitely. I don't want to cause it's making me itchy now...I get a few random hives on my face from it.

Ablation was never done cause there was too much blood. Dr did a thorough d&c but I had to go back on progesterone to keep from bleeding.

He said he didn't want me on hormones for a long time because of possible long term side effects. I also don't want to take them that long. If I'm done having kids I'd like to be done with periods altogether.

I hope they find some solution that helps you soon. It can be so frustrating. I've been dealing with this now for 2 years. Unfortunately I just had to go back on the progesterone after 6 months of normal cycles. I was disappointed to say the least.

Did u get hives from urs? Cause I am. My face neck and chest are all itchy. Weird places like my eyelids and stuff. I thought I read that they try not to give it to women much after 35 cause of increased blood clot risk. And I was getting scary blood clots just from NuvaRing before the progesterone. This is scary!!

But I am certainly with u as far as wanting no more periods. I mean I have known since I started menstruating that I didn't want kids...so this thing has been one huge useless inconvenience for me. Lol

Luckily I don't get any reactions to the progesterone at all. Hives and itching would be enough to make me stop taking it though. I've had that reaction to other things and it's miserable. The itching eye lids is awful!

Ya. If I don't get pregnant in the next year I'm done with it all. I started my period at 10. I'm over it.

Right now I'm just humoring my dr....this is major surgery...certainly not to be taken lightly. But I plan to call him in December. We agreed that if I want then...we'll make another appt and schedule hysterectomy for a month after. I did also read that progesterone can increase ovarian cysts....which just caused me to get my left ovary removed...I'd hate to screw up my right one too. Plus I do have hpv...getting rid of the cervix would be a load off my mind...
