This Is the Obama-Aurora Billboard Everyone's Talking About - Yahoo! News

This billboard got a lot of media attention this weekend for its meme-style juxtaposition of President Obama and Aurora-shooter James Holmes. Styled like something you'd see on Reddit, the billboard features side-by-side pictures of the two men with the words "kills 12 in movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out" over Holmes' picture, and "kills thousands with his foreign policy, wins nobel peace prize" over Obama's picture. Maurice Clements is the guy in charge the billboard. He's part of a group who honor the memory of Libertarian Ralph Smeed. He says the group is angry over Obama not bringing the troops home. "We’re all outraged over that killing in Aurora, Colo., but we’re not outraged over the boys killed in Afghanistan," Clements said. Locals think the billboard is "pathetic," and "abhorrant."

Thanks.. I wasn't sure if it was okay to post the actual photo. I know people are extremely upset about the shooting and I didn't know if posting a photo that they HAD to see was okay. I figured it they wanted to look..they could just click the link.

People aren't giving Obama an inch! He definitely has an uphill battle.

That billboard is in poor taste. However, they aren't arguing race (unless I'm missing a piece of the puzzle), but the reach government has in people's lives, which is the very rasion d'être of libertarianism. I don't agree with libertarians, I like Obama and that billboard is silly, but at the very least they are being coherent to their beliefs.

Bush didn't help the Katrina victims, yet there were no billboards saying that Bush is a murderer. No one got on him about that.

Obama is in office and racists wants to act like he's the bad guy now because he is black. They're doing everything in their power to make sure he doesn't get voted for again. It's because he is black.

When things become equal for black people, race will stop being brought up.

Well if you mean what I said..it just means that well on NC that's what tends to be the turn of most threads no matter the original subject..one of three things...women's rights, gay rights, or race..and often religion but that's always interwoven with those some how or another.

Well to me the message is that Obama is just as much a murderer as James Holmes. Because he's allowing the troops to get killed instead of bringing them home. So basically he's on par with a cold blooded murderer.

Seems pretty nuts to me..but hey..I don't expect more.
