Default So were any of you curlies in Alford, Florida overnight last night? :)

I had breakfast at the B&B we're staying at with a woman who had spectacular curls, and I feel like she must be on these boards to have learned what it takes to make her hair look so awesome!

Wasn't me but I always have the urge to start a thread like this whenever I see some great curls. We should have a "Missed Connections" section of NC where great curlies can reach out to other curlies they missed on the street. Think of all the curlie love!

That's fun, eche!!!

I was in the grocery store the other day and openly staring at this woman's hair ahead of me in line. She started to look uncomfortable, so I told her she had just wonderful hair. She giggled and said she had just found jojoba oil and loved it. I told her I use it to and we laughed about how friends think its so strange that we add oil to our hair

If someone IRL approached me and asked if I was on this site I think I would deny it hahaha. I don't know why but I'd be embarassed, I think because I share so much personal stuff here.

I think that's a fun idea, eche! You can always choose to answer or not.

In the past whenever I've mentioned this site to anyone, I usually got a blank stare, followed by the the "wow, get a life" stare and the obligatory accompanying explanation that they don't spend much time online.

Who'd have thought so few people spend time on the Internet? They must be hanging out where all those really cool, busy people who "don't do" FB hang out...at home...on the Internet...on FB.

A few curlies have recognized me while I was working at Disney, even with a wig. I always feel goofy, because I can't break character so I have to speak in a highly exaggerated country girl off the bus accent.

Lol at the last paragraph. I always feel that people who act like message boards, facebook and everything else online is beneath them are the same ones ago insist they only watch Pbs or listen only to Npr.

I seriously just had the same thought!! That's something we should ask the mods to do.

That's such a good idea eche!

I've had a few lurkers from the site approach me IRL. Like Trenell I don't break charachter either. Unlike Trenell I don't need to be in character.

Blame it on the cell phone...

LOL not me! I don't do Facebook, but I watch almost every trashy reality tv show out there.
