What an episode!
WTH is wrong with Abi that she just flat out SHOWED THE IDOL?? dumb, dumb, dumb.

Poor Lisa, she had a good plan but trusted the wrong people with it! WHY WOULD SHE GO TO PETE OF ALL PEOPLE??? I'm truly surprised they didn't start tossing her name around!

And, yes, I was confused by Probst's "biggest missed opportunity" thing - but I assumed it meant they had a great play to get rid of people and didn't

The exit interview - WHAT A SMUG JERK! "I have all this money but I really want THIS money"

I spent much of the episode saying LISA!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!! but I was happy to see that she is thinking ahead to final 3 and trying to get there - she isn't just going along to get along, she's actually thinking it out (but then - honey, don't go running around camp telling people about the other idol - but also, I think she probably doesn't have a lot of "weight" in the talks so knowing that choice morsel was probably the only leverage she had to be listened to)

I think next week has to be interesting, everyone gunning for everyone and trusting no one. Am really worried about Lisa, though - last week she said at tribal "once you flip, no one ever trusts you again" but then sat there this week talking about how she'd go this way or that way, etc.

Really, though - Pete and Abi need to stop occupying space on my screen (unless they're going to do something stupid like say "oh yeah, I have an idol" in which case I'm glad for the laugh)

I think Denise is a formidable player - I truly hope to see her in the final 3. She's got brains, physical strength, and seems to be able to do the social part (no one is saying "I can't stand Denise").

I'm going to have to watch it again because it was just a mess. I don't understand why Lisa told Pete because she should know how he is by now. Maybe she has something else in mind and is keeping it close to the belt? Not sure.

So Pete thinks he's a mastermind eh? Not so much. I think hooking up with Abi is the only actual smart thing he's done because she is hated.

Loved how Malcom(?) talked about the good/evil alliances, that was great.

Jeff just seemed to me the typical cocky ball player. No surprise there.

Even though I don't normally want a returnee to win, the guys didn't actually get the chance to try to win before so GO PENNER! Altough I'd like to see a Lisa/Penner/Denise finale it probably won't happen.

I agree it was a missed opportunity (two idols showing) but it's not like they can have conferences about it. They'd be going in blind anyway, unless you have a whole tribe of risk takers it's not going to happen.

Next week will probably be ugly and I think we'll see a bunch of changes not just Lisa.

Penner was on two times before, and was actually voted out once (I didn't watch that season - or the season where he was medi-vacced) - BUT I give him props for winning immunity and think a Penner/Denise/Lisa final 3 would be good. I imagine there will have to be someone "evil" in the final 3, though, because the players know they want someone who won't get votes - I just really really hope it is not Abi!!!!

ETA - I did not know Penner was a writer and actor, too - he was nominated for an Academy Award for a short film....

I'm going to try to watch again also because Penner and Lisa's proposals at tribal lost me. Maybe they were one in the same. I just think what has confused me is that I cannot recall who was in the yellow tribe and who was in the red tribe. Malcolm and Denise's tribe got a lot of camera time in the beginning, as opposed to the two other tribes.

I get it now about the missed opportunity to vote crazy Abi or Malcolm out, while getting rid of one of the idols in play, but that would have taken prior planning (as two of you have pointed out). Penner was the only smart one who voted Abi.

I'd like to see Denise, Penner, and Malcom go to the end. I love me some Blair, but something about the way she is playing is bugging me.

i agree with you guys. i have NO idea which person was from which tribe except malcolm and denise.

i'm in agreement with you guys, why did lisa reveal to pete (can't stand him) that malcolm had the idol? was pete in her alliance??

i like penner! so glad he won immunity.

couldn't they have gotten rid of jeff without revealing their idols and why reveal your idol and not play it?

why not just continue to deny it if you were secure you weren't going to be voted out?

lisa really surprised me though because if she was able to get rid of malcolm i would've been sad to see him go but how smart would that have been, right??

Tandang's plan was to vote out Malcom, until Lisa told her tribe Malcolm had a hidden immunity idol (I think Lisa referred to Malcom as plan B...Penner was Plan A), but in the end Tandang went with Jeff (what Lisa referred to as "plan D or E" ), only because Malcom threatened to use the idol, which was brilliant.

Does anyone know why Penner voted Abi? That had to have been intentional, since she had an idol she could play. Had Penner voted Pete, they would have been deadlocked, right? I think perhaps Penner wanted Jeff gone too...perhaps more than Pete. I mean, last week Jeff tried to get rid of Penner.

I think what Penner was proposing was to vote out one of the Tandang (either Abi or Pete), and was counting on Skupin or maybe Lisa to flip. Skupin was already an outsider on Tandang. Jeff was hoping Lisa might flip too, based on their conversation earlier, on the beach. She said she'd have no problem going with Kalabaw and voting Penner, followed by Skupin, then gunning for the three other meanies in her tribe (Abi, Pete, and Artis).
This episode Lisa was definitely was playing both sides. I wonder if it will backfire on her next week.

I think Malcom went to Tandang didn't he, when they split him & Denise? I'm not positive who went to which tribe.

I'm not sure if it'll backfire on Lisa, she was definitely upset in the preview. That's probably because Abi's such a B**** that she'll yell all over Lisa. That won't look good on Abi because they're so divided and mish-mash right now.

i was actually in the gym on one of those walking things. i was only on it so i could watch survivor and i didn't have headphones. i thought i was really into it because i was reading along but apparently i wasn't paying that much attention. i wasn't really exercising either, i believe my speed on my walking machine was '2', lol. also there was some group of dancers practicing behind me so i probably was more entertained by that.

Yes. Malcom went with Tandang and Denise went with Kalabaw. Remember when Abi said Malcom was more a part of the Tandang tribe than Skupin? Tandang doesn't value Skupin at all. That's why I'm kind of surprised Skupin voted with those jerks. But I totally understand it. Skupin knew Jeff was gunning for him and this is why I think Penner threw his vote. Payback is a B, Jeff!

This was very telling and clears up, for me, why Penner threw his vote.

I think Penner's tribe would not be happy with him for voting with Tandang (and his ally Skupin), and voting off one of their own (Jeff), so he voted with his tribe, but made sure his vote resulted in the ousting of his nemesis, Jeff.

Somehow I'm not surprised Jeff is still bitter.

Oh, I think he's wrong about Lisa. She was an actress afterall. It'll be interesting, if Lisa & Penner form an alliance I think there'll be no stopping them.

I guess I was wrong about Penner. He just voted for Abi out of spite, not because he had some master plan. I don't like the way he psychologically/emotionally manipulated Lisa. I get the "Survivor story" sell, after all he is a writer, but I could have done without him playing shrink with Lisa. That seemed sleazy to me.

Artis seems like a good guy. He just aligned himself with the only two a-holes in the game. Abi looks like a snake, doesn't she? I would hate to be facing her in a dark alley. She looks like she could a cut a -----.

I want to see Penner, Malcom, Denise and Skupin go the furthest, with either Malcom or Denise winning (I would be happy with Penner too). I like Lisa, but only for the nostalgia factor. I don't like the way she's playing. Too much vacillating and too much crying for me.

I agree, Artis seemed like a good guy. That episode they made him out to be an azz, I think, was editing and he's just a normal guy. He just allied with the wrong people.

Abi-snake is soo accurate! Looks like the next episode she's not her self, shaken? Probably. She's clueless about how the game works. Three sure bets with two you're not sure of does not make a win when there're 9 people.

I think Lisa, bless her heart, is so WISHY WASHY - and I think Penner played her (but he did a good job, getting her to do exactly what he wanted) - but I don't necessarily think he was wrong, I mean - why would you align with people who obviously have nothing but disdain for you - doesn't say much for her self esteem.

I'm glad the returning players are giving the others a run for their money in challenges - I think the attitude was so "no returning player can win" dismissive that no one really considered how GOOD they were.

And Abi "oh I've considered we don't have the votes" - BIG LIAR - and yes, she looks like someone you would not want to meet in an alley - I really can't wait for her to be on the jury and have to sit there quietly. (and I loved that "Abi was not chosen" in the challenge)

I like Denise more each week. I'd like to see her go far.

ETA: I think Artis really showed himself to be a good guy the way he handled his parting words - made me wish we'd seen more of him (and not him, Pete, Abi together) this season.

I agree with Penner. The viewing audience is watching and saying they don't want the villains to win. On the other hand, I understand Lisa wanting (a) to be loyal and (b) being at the end with the most unlikable people hoping she would get more votes.

I still think the best thing this season would be to see Penner win the whole thing. I never disliked Jeff till he got voted off and then his speech made him really unlikable. The look on his face if Penner won would be great.

I will say though I think Denise is one of the best and strongest players. If she won, I would be happy.

And, yes, the look on Abi's face at tribal council when she realized what was happening was fantastic!
