Hose or tights?
I think I've become unfashionable! I used to be the one my friends came to for fashion advice. I don't know what's in anymore!
Tomorrow I want to wear a black pencil skirt and am not sure if I should wear hose or tights (in black). Bare legs are not an option. It's chilly here already, the morning temperature will probably be in the mid 40's.

Didn't Kate Middleton supposedly bring hose back into fashion?

Tights are considered less formal, so they're okay for work and daytime wear, but hose should be worn in the evening.
(No, I cannot believe I remember this, either.)

I still wear hose when i go on client visits. I will be wearing hose for the wedding this weekend. But I might not be the person you want to look to for fashion advice.

I'm confused. Are you guys talking about sheer black hose or nude hose?

I was 'assuming' hose meant nylons-sheer-but could be nude or black. Tights to me are thicker and of some color and/or pattern. I wear both. Not at the same time and it does depend upon the outfit

If you decided to go with hose, I would suggest going nude (the hose, not naked)

I did buy a pair of nude hose over the weekend, but I feel like they are a shade too dark.
I think I'll just wear pants!

Tights are opaque and hose are sheer. But they are all "hosiery."

I'm a tights person myself, but I have to wear hose to a wedding this weekend as it would be too warm here for tights.

I like sheer black hose. I think they make women's legs look great.

What I meant was, is the choice between black tights and sheer black hose, or is it between black tights and nude hose? If it's the latter, definitely tights; if the former, I would go with the sheer black hose. It is getting colder, but it still feels a little early in the season for tights.

I rarely think she looks good. Same w/ her sister.
They've got all the resources in the world to look great and they totally miss the mark most of the time.

You're taking your life in your own hands by admitting this you know...! I agree, so we can protect each other.
Truth be told...I hate them all. Waaay too much trouble. My fingertips and nails always have rough spots that snag them, and I hate having to deal with them during bathroom trips. They do make skirts and dresses possible during cold seasons, and I love the look, but I just can't stand the hassle.
