I downloaded the update on my 4S this morning at work. Took maybe 10-15 minutes on their wifi. Worth it to me.

I use Siri a lot to text for me when I'm walking, etc. the update converts voice to text much more quickly, IMO. I noticed the sharper screen/resolution immediately. Also, texts seem to give "delivered" status more quickly, at least that's what I've noticed today.

I used the Mapquest app a lot before. I don't have GPS in my car. I will try the new Maps app with voice nav tonight to compare them. The map app itself seems easier to read.

Not sure what the Passbook app will do for me. Maybe it's got bells and whistles when used on the iPhone 5 but seems like a dud to me on my 4s at this point.

Safari has a little icon now that takes away the menu bars or puts them back. Sorta cool for those sites that aren't mobile-friendly.

I haven't tried FaceTime yet since I updated.

My battery runs out quickly and seems to take longer to charge now. Maybe I'm just noticing this because I'm pretending not to have my face in my phone all day (playing too much at work today).

You all are welcome. I forgot to include the changes with Siri. She is a lot smarter now. I haven't used maps yet. I'm still kinda getting familiar with the features.

Yea, I think the iphone 5 is not impressive.

I would like a smaller version of the ipad. Which looks like you're holding a cereal box when you take pictures with it. STOP THE PICTURE MADNESS. i hate at work when people come in with their GIANT tablets taking pictures.

I think the iphone 5 changing the adapter is a bit dramatic. Like if I have ipods and stuff I Like to share the same chord, because well I lose chords all the time.
And now they're gonna have to create all new ihomes and crap.

But I don't really care, cause I don't have one. My phone case goes under water thats all I like. Life proof cases y'all. It works. Unless you're a man and don't read the directions. (Yea I said men don't read directions, so what, I'm a man hater and I'm proud)

Lol!!! This entire post made me laugh.

As for this iOS 6, Meh. It's fine. But it's not blowing my mind. I would've like panoramic pictures with the iPhone 5 but like... That's about it.

Under the DND, there is a button for repeated calls. If the same number calls a second time in 3 minutes, it will ring.

So far I like. No huge changes. The iTunesU is kinda cool...seems like lots of free courses!

me and my mom's itunes are shared. So all day yesterday, I could see what'd she texted to people if (I had the same contact) and she could see the same for me And when I'd text her, it'd just text myself.

I had to change the address settings in messages, in case anyone had the same cray stuff.

I tried setting it up for my husbands iPhone 4 and it wouldn't take and told me to plug it into the computer. Something messed up during the loading process and I had to do a restore on it. Luckily it backed up before I started loading it.

I haven't heard much in the way of complaints or praises about anything.

I still haven't updated. Hubby hasn't either, or son. Hubby said he won't because of the maps (but he doesn't use other than to play around, not for actual directions. LOL) I'm still on the fence. Hmmm.

Any more comments, problems, pros or cons?

I like the vocal turn by turn with the new maps, and I keep google maps for transit directions.

I've lost my typing shortcuts with ios6.

I had to download a YouTube app.

The cosmetic changes make no difference. Don't hate or love them.

You no longer have the youtube app but I am assuming you can download one. I, for some reason, cannot load google in safari which is annoying me to no end-I need to research that issue. I typically only use the maps for walking directions so I am hoping by the time I need them they will be better. In the car we use our gps.

i'm one of those that doesn't like change so i wonder if i can just wait until they work out the bugs and just skip this new upgrade. is that possible? will they force me to upgrade?

I do not think you will be forced into a upgrade. I think you will get the download but not sure if you have to install it. But as you can tell I am not positive.

Siri finally understands me - she had a problem, apparently, with my Midwestern twang but she seems to have gotten over herself. I like the turn by turn. I like the do not disturb. Passbook remains a mystery.

You won't be forced to change. My sister was running 4.2 until she finally did the 6.0 update. I'm still running 5.1. I've had a little one hanging up there for months.

I deleted a ton of apps, did the last 2 upgrades, and have slowly & selectively been choosing what apps and songs to add back. I have not fully paid attention to the new features, yet. I've just played around with a few. I have iPhone 4 so its limited bells and whistles. I'm just thrilled my phone is working much better, I can finally use the Curltalk app, and Facebook is working perfectly again. As long as those, my music, sound hound, photo apps, kindle & iBooks and Amazon are working correctly, I could care less about the rest!!

B now has Siri on his iPad and she does not get his Boston accent AT ALL!! Her responses to him are hysterical. From what I have read passbook will need more companies to sign in to make it worthwhile.

You can download YouTube and Google maps for free from the App Store.

My battery is running out quickly too. I am still (re) downloading apps, from my previous update, and battery doctor does not seem to be helping.

Also, my auto correct is exhausting. Very buggy. It was frustrating before but it seems 10 times worse now. Short cut sentences are thrown into the mix every in every other sentence, and words are being changed continuously. Most are not even close to what I typed. It also seems to be throwing in spaces between letters.
