I'm not a natural born procrastinator and rarely wait to do anything. I do dishes as soon as a meal is done. I never leave clothes in the washer or dryer. Things are put away, always. No clutter or piles of stuff laying around. I'm annoyingly organized. But there are a few things that take me awhile to get to.
At work, when quarterly taxes are due I have to let them sit on my desk for at least 3 days before I'll even pick them up and start doing them. I don't know why. I just hate doing them.
I haven't done real spring cleaning in this house since I bought it. 8 years ago.
I haven't had my carpets cleaned in a couple years. Again, I don't know why. You can't tell they're dirty since I purposely bought carpet the color of dirt. But I know they need cleaned. Just have to call and make the appointment. Not a big deal. But nope, haven't done it.

Putting off housework.
I dropped one set of in-laws at the airport in San Francisco this morning, drove home and should be cleaning in preparation for the second set of family coming in this evening, but here I sit.
I'm just so pooped all I want is to take a nap, but I'll get it done. At least I've got the bedding washing and I'll get it done before they get here tonight.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I've been putting off vacuuming, I keep telling myself I don't have time but it really doesn't take that long. In the meantime the amount of cat hair has increased by 794%.
Also I'm putting off looking for an online course about public health.
Edit: I've vacuumed and cleaned the cooker! Omg!

I could do some work work. But sitting in a comfy chair with my throw blanket on me while wearing sweatpants and a hoodie seems to be winning. Oh and Casey is on the hassock so I would disturb him if I got up.

It can probably wait until tonight, right?

^^OBB, there's truth to that.
I'm continually trying to get better about procrastinating. Right now, I'm putting off:
-Finishing a paper that's due tomorrow
-Reading some reports to prepare for a meeting tomorrow.
-Responding to a bunch of emails.
What have I done to avoid these tasks?
-Written them down in a to-do list
-Installed Spotify on my compy
-Started planning my Christmas cards and Christmas shopping--because that's clearly the most important thing right now!
To my credit, I've gotten much better about keeping the house tidy and clean in the past few months. I'm always on top of laundry and the house is always in decent to good shape. I've even....GASP...started doing yard work and cleaning out flower beds.

I've finally printed a CPD assignment that I have to do before a meeting.
I'm now putting off making an eye check appointment and seeing the gp about my weird hormones.

(Sorry this ended up being so long - I was avoiding doing something I hate at work )
Do it, if you haven't by now. Recently lost a friend to colon cancer. She was only 58. Just sayin' . . . .
One of my biggest problems is that I am a perfectionist. If I don't have time to do something right, I put off doing it at all, often until whatever it is becomes overwhelming, like house cleaning. I need terribly to clean ceiling fans, windows inside and out, and base boards throughout the house. I'm embarrassed to say that none of this has been done since I first moved in the the house, new, 18 years ago, except for vacuuming the fan blades best as I can from the floor - very high ceilings where they are, so that's not too well.
First, I've had a problem with my shoulder for two years that prevents me from doing a lot of other things that I'd first like to do, before the windows and baseboards, especially - didn't have that excuse for all the preceding years, though! There have been other injuries that have hampered me for long periods at times, but still - excuses. I could've figured out a way before now. Or just picked away at things until they were finally done.
Anyway, now I just sit and look at all I need to do, and it's so daunting that I don't do much of anything. I try to make myself chip away at it a little each day, but there are so few hours in the day that I do well to keep up with the most basic stuff.
Took a tumble over the weekend and injured my knee, putting me further behind - thought at first I'd injured the already-bad shoulder, but I think it's going to be OK after all. Fortunately, I fell sideways into my flower bed topped with pine straw rather than on the concrete where I was trying to walk.
Still, it's all just excuses - I've always been a procrastinator about everything. I've improved in some ways over the years, gotten worse in others.
Maybe some day . . . for now I'll just hang out here
