Yesterday I finally finished something I had been procrastinating about for months. I thought I'd feel really good, but I don't. Oh, well, at least it's finished.

1) My family cookbook. I'm embarrassed about how gung ho I was and then I just pooped out on it. I need to get ink for my printer and a particular type of paper to print out the recipes. Not that difficult, but it's been probably a year that I've been procrastinating.

2) My book. I decided about a year ago that I was going to write a book about myself. Sounds weird, maybe, but I feel I never really knew my relatives who are now gone. When I'm gone I want my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren to really know me as a person and a woman. Not just mom & nana. They can only read it once they reach age 18.

3) I got a rowing machine a couple of months ago and I still need to adjust it for me and learn how all the features work. It's just sitting in my office along with my unfinished cookbook.

I need to organise insurance for my upcoming holiday, I've lost count of the number of times I've sat down to do it. I keep getting side-tracked reading reviews and then can't make a decision.

Does anyone else procrastinate by doing less important things that you procrastinated?

Like for example, I have homework. I started by tidying up my work area so I could do my homework. That turned into dusting and cleaning under all the furniture, washing all the blankets in the house, and you know the floors could really use a mop . . .

Cympreni, that's so funny. But at least you accomplished something!. I do that all the time (which is one of the many reasons I started this thread).

I would have never classified myself as a procrastinator. However, I find I'm exceptionally good at simply forgetting things. Which really does make me a procrastinator because I make lists of things I want to get done. So, I've put a reminder on my calendar to make a call tomorrow that I've spaced/procrastinated the last week. It's to meet with a retirement planner person, and I hate hate hate money talk (probably because I don't have any lol).

I procratinated on paying my tax on my vehicle and then, yes, I forgot it. So . . . I go online to the DMV to renew my tags and guess what, there is an unpaid tax block. Dear lawd, they were due at the end of December. I just meant to wait and pay them the last week in December. Now, if you must know, I procrastinated about renewing my tags and tried to renew them on the weekend. Of course now they expired because I couldn't pay the tax until the 2nd of April - tax office closed Easter Monday!!! So now I've had to pay interest on stupid truck tax and a $10 late fee because I let my tags expire.

This hurts my feelings. I feel like a moron.

"homework" of my university's classes:

Need to:
- read 4 books
- write 3 papers
- write my memoir (still 18 000 words to go)

But... I have "already" translated 2 texts I needed to translate in "only" a week's time...

Oy. I have a bunch of assignments due this upcoming week, and not much time to work on them.

Had I been smart, I would've worked on them when I had off of school/work on Monday, and also off of work on Tuesday. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Now I'll just be scrambling to get stuff done in time. Dumb dumb dumb.

One of them is an 8 page paper that I've known about for months. Hahahahah. Awesome.
