Procrastinator's thread
Soooo, what are you putting off? Fess up and maybe we can give you a kick in the rear.
I'll start:
I am resolved to figure out my will, investments, etc. I am so not interested in that stuff. Stocks, bonds, fiduciary instruments - stupefyingly boring to me.
I will plan a wicked treat for when I'm done!

My diet.
Cleaning my house.
However I did get all my laundry done today so that's a really good start to cleaning.

Folding towels.
Also, finishing up this literature assignment. It really won't take long once I actually start, but it just doesn't sound particularly interesting right now.
Maybe I'll go fold those towels while I'm avoiding that assignment! Haha

sat studying how am I supposed to study when there's drama to catch up on?? that's my excuse, anyway.
(things happen so fast around here! I think we need a Keeping Up with the Curlies show to help me figure out what's happening drama-wise.)
I also am putting of going to the gym :/ I never regret going, but getting the motivation to go in the first place is really hard.

I need to call all people expecting money for bills to let them know that I have to stretch payments out until next month and I can totally get paid off.
I need to go to the bank and deposit money in my mom's account.
I need to go visit my mom. She had surgery Tuesday and I haven't gone to see her.
I need to eat this carrot cake (monthly birthday cake time!!) before the end of the day and I go home and am expected to be hungry for dinner.
Maybe I should do some phone calls before I eat cake.
.....yeah. I'm not really feeling that happening...... I'm sad to say.
Maybe tomorrow at lunch I will make the calls.

All my homework.
This is why I get so fit during school Because fitness it important not because I'm using it to procrastinate.

This will come as no surprise, I need to finish the kitchen. I need to do laundry.
I need to stop eating the crap I have been eating. I keep putting off the start date.

My sinuses are procrastinating about getting better and the rest of me is getting ticked off about it.
I procrastinate about everything. E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
I am still sick but I had to cut my daughter's hair tonight because she will be in marching band uniform tomorrow evening and their hair cannot touch the shirt collar. Anyone with long hair can wear it up inside the hat but she HATED doing that last fall and is getting in touch with her short-haired self. I did a "mid-way" cut from her long hair right before school started to ease her into it. Tonight It got seriously wacked. I was afraid I'd mess it up because I feel so bad, but it's really cute. (She's a wavy with thick silky hair - I'm jealous of her shine and texture!!!) She's been telling me for 2 weeks to cut it.......
I am procrastinating about taking my antibiotic tonight. 1. It's huge. 2. It makes me sick = unhappy tummy is something to procrastinate bringing on one's self!!!
I am procrastinating feeding Jeri canned food tonight because it's sooooo stinky.
I am procrastinating about washing my face because I have a HUGE eczema spot that is raw and ugly and it will get aggravated and burn.
One thing I never procrastinate about is coming up with somewhat reasonable sounding excuses for my procrastinations!!!!!!!

Starting yoga (doc recommended it for my blood pressure)
Going swimming once a week
Going cycling once a week
Making dentist appt
Seriously looking for a new job and not just playing at it
And pretty soon I'll be getting a reminder letter about a pap smear, so no doubt I'll procrastinate about that too.

its not that I'm a procrastinator. its just that I get sidetracked and overwhelmed at times. I have a whole list of to do's, but no time to do it. I use to have a flex schedule at work so i could fit alot of stuff into the day and still got my work done. Now that i have a new supervisor and new fixed schedule and am being watched to make sure I stick to it, I jsut cant seem to find the time to get anything done. I cant come into work before 8:00am therefore cant get off before 3:00pm like i use to sometimes earlier. I cant use the phone at work so i cant make business calls. i have to fit everything into the weekends and after work. Dont leave much time for me to do much of anything.
1. I have to finish unpacking and setting up new house.
2. Finish application for school so i can become post-bacc student.
3. Update resume so I can continue job search.
4. Study for GRE adn take it
5. find vet to shadow so i can increase my chances of getting into vet school.
And these are just my top priority items, that is the most important. I also have a million little things that have to get done. I think if i had an assistant I could get so much more done. i just cant afford to pay one.

All the things.
I'm the Queen of Procrastination
Currently it's cleaning the bathrooms, which is something that never changes. It is by far my least favorite thing to do EVER. EVER. EVER.
Putting a restoring finish on an antique dresser we got on Craig's List a while back and putting on new knobs. It's really not hard to put on, just wipe it on and wait 30 minutes then put a wax on then install my pretty blue glass knobs.
Yard work, which I plan on doing today.
We're having family visit in a week and I've always said there's nothing like company coming to get everything done.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

This thread must have some super secret voodoo magic going on. I might shake some chicken bones at it just to keep it going.
I got the yard work done. (yay!)
Got the finish and wax put on that dresser just waiting to polish up the wax and put the knobs on and that's done. (yay!)
Bathrooms? HAHAHAHAHA!! Next week. I now have the excuse that I'll clean them right before company arrives so they'll be fresh. Excuses, I got 'em!!
