Who are these people?

Is that really Kathy Griffin? Contrary to some of the views here, in the first photo of the thread, I think she looks like she's about 13! In the second photo, she looks like an adult, but her skin looks vibrant and healthy. Her skin is so very fair...I guess I never realized how pale she is because of all the stage makeup she wears. Is that her husband? It seems like it's something staged for a joke. Who holds hands while jogging?

I know nothing about her or her plastic surgery...now I want to see before/after shots!

Okay - found one. I must be crazy, but I think she looks better "before".

I read an article a million years ago, by her, dealing the plastic surgery she had on her body. I think she had her stomach, thighs, butt, etc, all done. She had to wear a tight suit thing from waist to almost her knees and it had a hole for her to go to the bathroom. She couldn't take it off. The story was gross and horrible and made me never want plastic surgery.

I think she may have also had severe complications to liposuction and wound up near death...saying she regrets having done it. But I could be mixing her up w/ a different celebrity who had a bunch of procedures done around the same time.

The only thing that looks different, to me, is her hair. Except for the awkward bangs, her hair looks much healthier in what was called the "before" picture...

Ya, that was her. She had this horrible bleeding and infection. The article was gory.

I think she looks good. She looks better with makeup, but who doesn't? She obviously wasn't asking to have her pic taken.

Yeah that "before" shot is how I remember her looking on Seinfeld and Suddenly Susan. Again, not traditional "Hollywood attractive" but kinda cute in a quirky way.

The plastic surgery definitely did not do her any favors. But I think she's doing the best with what she's got.

And, of course, she should totally go back to embracing her natural curls.

This thread was started a couple of weeks ago, and, as I admitted, I did not recognize the people in the original picture (the hand-holding joggers).

The info. posted about Griffin's self-esteem (or lack thereof), intrigued me. (You've gotta admit, she looks pretty damn good in that bikini). While she's not Shakira or anything, she's cute, and kinda pretty. In some photos she does indeed look beautiful.

The other day, out of the blue, my mother mentioned something about Anderson Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt, and Kathy Griffin, saying Griffin is Vanderbilt's "fantasy daughter", (meaning she loves her so much she's like a daughter). I still don't know (or care) much about this relationship, but it sure impresses my mother. (Gloria's no Barbra, but my mother certainly finds her fascinating). I thought to myself that anyone who could bring so much joy to the long-suffering, yet interesting Gloria Vanderbilt, must be special...and unusual.

So I watched an online clip of Anderson Cooper surprising his mother with an appearance by Griffin. I was impressed with the obvious depth of friendship and trust this pseudo-family displayed. I agreed with my mother that Griffin must have a very sweet, vulnerable side, and when she loves a friend, she really loves.

Since then, I've been watching YouTube videos, and I found that I am quite a fan of Griffin's comedy. Sure, she can be harsh, but some of her skits have me laughing harder than I've laughed in years! She is utterly hilarious. From now on, whenever I need some stress relief I'm going to pull up YouTube and watch her. The more she cracks me up, the prettier she looks.

I think she looks like a normal person out running. No makeup, hair up on her head out of the way, comfy clothes. Hey, I am frightening without makeup.
I wish she wouldn't have had all the surgery because I thought she was so cute before. But I love her anyway (I love Joan Rivers too). I think her comedy shows are hilarious. I think her boyfriend is cute. And they look like they are having a good time (or would be if they weren't being followed around by people with cameras all the time).
