Martha Stewart's site should be full of ideas.
For drinks we have decided to make a drink called Gangrene, brains in a glass (which may take practice to make), jello shots, and a punch my mom came up with. folks can bring other booze. So far I'm making pumpkin cake and honey-whiskey chicken wings. thats all i got so far.

I think i will check out pinterest for decor ideas.
last year, i brought a pumpkin graveyard to work.

i made a pumpkin sheet cake and iced it in purple-coloured cream cheese frosting. then i used puffy pumpkin stickers on toothpicks for the headstones.

everyone thought it was funny - and it tasted pretty good too!

The dollar store is a favorite of mine.
They have all kinds of cool items.
I got some gel stick on items, along with ice trays and many other things.
Have fun!

I also make banana and marshmallow ghosts. I cut chunks of banana the same size as marshmallows, and skewer a banana piece, a marshmallow, and then another banana piece. Then I dip them in white chocolate, stick some mini M&Ms on for eyes, and draw mouths on them.

I'm thinking about hanging these from my trees (a glow stick, inside of a balloon, inside of stockings)

I love dollar tree. I'm going to go this weekend and see what they have.

I want to try to make as much as possible, even the decorations, homemade. Invites are going out via facebook and word of mouth.

The chicken wings will be called batwings. The pupkin cake is going to be decorated like a graveyard-thanks rou! Deviled eggs I'm going to attempt to make look like eyeballs

My sister is still working on the playlist. Any one has a favorite holloween song? And thriller is already on the list so dont even mention it!

Omg, its never too early for Halloween talk!! I'm too exhausted to talk in understandable sentences or contribute ideas, but its never too early. I love it, I adore it, and I have no idea what I'm going to be this year. That's highly unusual.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Nallia: is that the one you have for this year? Then there's no way I could invite you to my party. A guest cant be dressed like the host!

Rou: Got that too! Sister had no clue what that was either! i'm so embarrassed!

I'm also thinking of playing horror movies in my sister's room if folks wants to get away from the chaos of the drunks on the first floor. Do you think it would be too much going on?
no, not at all.

but do old black and white ones for added effect!

I am the same way. I start planning my next Halloween costume before I put the old one up. I have 2 Rubbermaid containers with wigs, gloves, dresses, what have you. I normally make my costume. Not completely but I find one thing, like a beautiful kimono for $3 at a thrift store, and go all out from there. I've dyed very old wedding dresses, again found at thrift stores, black and hand painted every bead on it black & red. Halloween makes me creatively happy. Last year was the first time I purchased a costume since I was a small child. I didn't have the time or energy to do my normal. I loves it, and had a blast!! But I still had to make an accessory or two.
