I keep forgetting to look at the snack options in my magazines. I'm slightly scatter brained these days. I know many people with great non alcoholic punch recipes. I will get back to you on that one.

I know there are also several cute Halloween punch options on line. You can freeze water in shapes of a hand using a non powdered, etc. glove and add it to the punch bowl. You can add floating eyes. There are several options to creep it up.

Spring, I love the bats. Did you make them or buy them?

Fifi, No problem. I actually got my menu:

pumpkin cake decorated like a graveyard
bat wings (chicken wings)
Deviled eyes
Mummy dogs (hot dogs wraped in dough to look like a mummy)
monster meat (vegetarian chilli)
swamp dip(spinach dip) and chips.
cupcakes (someone else is making them)
jello shots

drinks:
brain shooters
Gangrene (gross green colored shots i'm using for a game as punishment)
the punch my mom use to make, havent gotten a cool name for it yet.

I'm going to get canned lychee nuts and attach blueberry and freeze them. They will look just like eyeballs!

i just need a non-alcoholic drink. The party is really coming together!

thelio, I got them at Michaels, they're the Martha Stewart stuff. They were 30% off and I couldn't have made them for as cheap as I bought them not to mention the time it would have taken to cut out that many. I also bought the mouse cutouts and put them around the house near the baseboards.

I am still going to ask around about n/a punch, and also check some old local cookbooks. They all have huge n/a punch sections, but here are some I found on line.

http://womantribune.com/nonalcoholic...-drink-recipes

What is the weather like where you live? Any chance of it being cool or cold? If so a hot cider type drink, that people could add a splash of liquor to, might be a good idea. It could be a multi tasker.

I keep trying to remember what my favorite cold punch was, but its been years since I've had any.

i like the idea of the blood drink.

This weather is so insane I have no clue what the temp will be in a couple weeks. I know some folks will be staying overnight, if I'm not hung over I had planned to make us some hot cider or hot chocolate (either cuban style or filipino style)

if you can remember your punch recipe please share.

I liked the vampire blood drink idea too, and that gives me a general idea of what you might like. As far as ice cream vs juice/soda punches.

I found the cookbook I was looking for and it has around 15 pages of punch. Lol. I will look through them.

thanks fifi!

I never knew so much went into an halloween party. I was suppose to be in charge of food and drink, my sister was taking care of everything else. i not only did the menu, invites, came up with the games, and decorated with a little of her help, now the one thing she had to do, the music, falls on me. I even bought her a cd/ ipod player, only for her to tell me she lost her ipod. ok fine, here's blank cd's, now make our halloween cd's. She cant do that either. she' doesnt know how. oh good griff.

She had an ipod i though she knew how to download music from the internet. I still buy cd's for pete's sakes! does anyone know of any halloween themed cd's? or can offer any advice. where do i get free music downloads?

sidenote/ rant: I'm taking the cd/ipod player back to the store. how you going to lose an ipod? i think she gave it to someone to borrow and they never gave it back. What is wrong with her?!?!?!

Pandora is a great suggestion! We did that last year as we handed out candy on the front porch to the kids and several people commented "Where is that coming from??".

They are literally right down the street from me.
Let me know if I can hook you up!
There is still plenty of time and I might find something for myself.
