Same, I went to a concert that night, gym class heroes, and The Roots played, and they remixed their songs so that they were about Obama. And on the drive home, I listened to the radio with a girl (who actually was a republican) and found out obama won. Then I danced in my dorm room.
I can't remember it was so long ago (35 years or so?). But I've voted in every primary and general election since. And I've worked on dozens of campaigns from school board to president and everything in between.
Ok so I had to look up who was running what years because I'm old but I think the first election I voted might have been 1977 so I voted for Carter (I can't believe he was prez that long ago).
I will repeat tho that I vote every election, not just presidential years, because local politics is much more important to us than many people think.
Hmmm, I don't know if I voted in 2000 or not--if I did it was absentee ballot while I was out-of-state at college, I think.
2004 I voted for Kerry, and remember having to go find the place to vote...there was a big huge line, and I had forgot to bring some kind of proof of residence I needed, so I had to go home (walk/public transit) and then come back later. It was a big disaster. And 2008 I voted for Obama, and things went much smoother then, in more ways than one! I also remember voting at a different location between those, so I'm sure I voted for some other elections besides president.
