Yes, what was supposed to take about 3-4 weeks has actually taken about 3 months!
Jeez!
But I guess it was worth the wait. The job seems perfect for him and he likes the people he's met that he'll work with. It's not quite the pay he thought he could get, but the benefits make up for it, as well as the opportunity for advance and moving around in the company. He's very happy about it! He accepted the offer and will start work on Feb 13 (they have their orientations on Tuesdays).
So this is our last week hanging out together.
We're getting the kitchen packed up for the renovations scheduled the first part of March.
One of the best parts of the new job: casual attire!
Seriously, they told him to wear jeans and Ts. He's a Glorified Geek (aka Systems Administrator).
But it's another job where we still can't discuss his work, or he'd have to kill me.
