Costume ideas for Santarchy 2012
I love having an excuse to wear a costumes, (i'm still working on getting those halloween pictures, i havent forgotten). I love Santarchy which is just another excuse to dress up. last year was a very mild winter. this fall is already freezing, i can image december being goose pimple bones cold! so I did some ideas for customes to keep me warm. Santarchy is very lenient with customes. a friend was "supercow" last year. I wanted to be a christmas fairy, but i fear i will freeze to death. Any suggests would be helpful. TIA!!
here's a link to the event.

you could probably rent one for less than that, T. unless you're planning to do this every year and want to re-use it.
what about checking a party place that does costumes and see if they've got anything discounted from Halloween that will suit for the occasion.
that sounds like a BLAST!!!!
we need that in London, it's SO boring!

other side of the country!
Vancouver is just north of Seattle, while i'm 2.5 hours slightly northeast of Detroit!
that's why i'm always telling scrills, jeepy and ninja to just swim across Lake Erie to visit me.

Can't you figure out a way to be a warmer Christmas fairy? Thick tights, leggings, sweater-leggings? A fuzzy white sparkly sweater? I have no idea what a Christmas fairy looks like, but that's what came to mind!

I think Christmas Fairy is an adorable idea, and can be warmed up with tights or leggings and a cute jacket.

The idea of a christmas fairy, i just kinda made up. Iiwas going to get a red or green fairy costume. so far the only ones i can find are for warmer weather. im not sure how cold it will be in dec. but right now its freezing. i'm wearing jeans, leggings, thick socks, thermal shirts, t-shirts, sweater, coat, hat, gloves, and still cold.
i really dont want to miss it, but the cold makes me want to stay inside.

LOVE the second one!
you could substitute white fun fur for the green garlands and add wings.

I found the second one on sale for 24 bucks!
the garland is attached. the skirt portions seem to have a few layers so with thick leggings and boots, i should be able to stay warm on the bottom portion. but how can i warm up the top portion?
also its only 24$ so i may just buy it anyway and if i cant wear it this year I can save it for next halloween.

OMG!!! Now I got all these new ideas flowing threw my head.
I wanted to be an elf initiallly, I had planned to be an elf last year. i wanted this one, but at 100 bucks, NO WAY!:
I had a friend tell me to dress like a kid on christmas. I should just get a red velvet dress or really ugly christmas sweater. Now I'm all confused.
