Aliens landing, and skeletons under the bed. It also creeped me out to walk in a forest by myself - it still does. I get panic attacks and can't breathe when I am in the forest....must be past life memory or something!

I stopped playing with dolls when they started making the ones whose eyes would open and closed as you picked them up or down....I still don't really care for them today....

the wolf from the 3 little pigs.
when i grew up i bought a book for my daughter that made the wolf a good guy. the pigs just misunderstood why he was knocking on their door.
it was called the "true story of the 3 little pigs"
(he was just coming by to borrow some sugar and had a cold and mistakenly blew their houses down, geesh...)

I know the story frau. I thought it was the funnest thing. but remember in the story he still ate the pigs. because he didnt want them to go to a waste.

yeah, actually imo that was the flaw in the book.
i wish the pigs had simply ran to their brother's house and then the wolf get arrested in the end.
because he still eats them it makes it rather lurid.

I've mentioned this one before, but Robert Stack from unsolved mysteries. Not even the show, but the guy. Also there was this one cabbage patch doll that just wigged me right out. Something about all the hair she had, it didn't seem right to me.
The theme music from Pee Wee Herman.
Oh, and Santa. Scared the CRAP outta me. Every picture my parents would get of us with Santa, I'm standing right on the outskirts, as far away as possible to still get barely in the picture. And I'm not smiling and usually have a super red face lol

The child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang scared the life out of me as a kid. I still can't watch that movie today.

I had a Cat in the Hat VHS and right before the movie was a commercial for Casper that I hated because it was a laughing trin with a face and green mist coming toward the viewer. Lol. And escalators. And Santa.

--the Town Clown on "Captain Kangaroo". My mom reports me harboring a deep terror of him, but I can't really remember. I DO remember a brief fear of Dancing Bear, though.
--R2D2 and CP-30 from Star Wars. The theme music was scary, too. R2D2 was responsible for a lot of childhood nightmares about robots taking over the earth. Never mind that we never once watched the movie. My dad, sitting up in the middle of the night listening to me tearfully describe my robot nightmares, must've thought I was crazy.
--skeletons.....we had a set of children's encyclopedias and one of them had a full-page photo of this (or one very similar to it):
It was THE most terrifying thing ever (besides the moth section) and I would not even touch the volume that contained the photo.

The talking trees from Wizard of Oz
Dr. Who - I still can't even really stand when people talk about this show around me, the opening credits scare the bejeezus out of me

The Paula Cole song "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone" creeped me out SO much in high school. Still does...I absolutely cannot listen to it. *shudder*

Quarters. For years I gave them all to my brother (and he always took them!).
The story why:
In first grade I put one in my mouth so I could zip up my coat and I swallowed it. Trapped in my esophagus. Teacher had to turn me upside down and bang on my back to get it to tilt so air could go through. Then surgery to get it out but it fell to my stomach during surgery and then stayed there for months. I was terrified I would swallow another one so I just gave them away.
