I had a puppy German Shepherd who was a rescue and she was very tiny, and very ill, all of her short life. And I spent every day of her life trying to nurse her back to health. I took pictures of her every day, too - I think I knew, deep down, that she'd not live very long. She died of kidney failure at 7 months old. I was heartbroken, as I adored her - she was such a little character! It's taken me three years to be able to look at pics of her without crying.
About a month after she died, a friend of mine came to my house with a tiny rescue German Shepherd pup, 7 weeks old, who looked identical to the one I had lost, and made it clear that I was taking the pup - she would not take no for an answer. I still have that dog, she is three now, and she looks (and acts) just like the pup I lost. It's almost like she reincarnated or something...I will forever be grateful both to my friend and to the dog, because they helped me over my deep grief and loss...to this day, my new pup brings me laughter and joy.

Currently a fan of TiGi products, (rock on, TiGi Curlesque styling creme!) but that will soon change - I am a self-avowed product junkie! Yay!
BIG fan of supersoaker method - thanks Rudeechick!
