My daughter and I are reunited! (and a pic)
 

I'm so excited I just had to get that out. It's been a rather nine long months for me. I have only Skyped with her but couldn't afford to visit. Her husband went down to see her, though.

She has actually stated on several occasions that she never needs to come back, but she needs her mom and husband to move to Brazil. Although at this point I think she's really ready.

I've missed her lots and lots and I wanted to share with you all.

Oh, some of the fun things she's done in addition to her research:

Gone to an election-watching party for ex-pats at the US Consulate in Sao Paulo.
Translated for a visiting American professor for a week.
Sung with the Orquestra Sinfônica de Ribeirão Preto.

You both are lovely! She looks very much like you too I am happy that you are getting to be with her after all those months. I can't imagine how much you must of missed her. My oldest son is just 3 hours from home now that hes in college but we see him monthly. Enjoy your time with her!
