Yea..you can see everything, o well. I really wish women would stop obsessing about weight. No one talks about men as much when they get fat. Like Jon Stewart. It happens.
Also for those that are offended by the word fat, I also mean it to be overweight as well(even just a little), which is not necessarily a horrible thing, geez.

Exactly. If she were your friend, neighbor or co-worker, no way MOST people would be thinking "Oh that Jessica is a real porker."
(now does the girl always wear the most figure-flattering clothing that complements her stature... clearly NO- lol)
But because she's in the media spotlight and compared to size 0, 5'9" actresses, then she gets labeled as "fat." It's craziness.

How correct you are.
It bothers me that what was once considered a normal (as in typical/realistic as opposed to the 0-2 industry sample sizes) body image now = over weight.
I saw a story on a new "plus size" model who is all the rage. She is over 6 ft tall and a size 12. That is completely normal, for her. There is nothing remotely plus sized about her.

In her Daisy Duke days, she was probably going to the extremes to stay that thin. She just might be A LOT happier being a little heavier than she was back then.

Sorry. Know this is a JS thread, but I have to illustrate further on that.
Robyn Lawely:
What the?
The industry view is absolutely askew.

*I* did not call her "fat" or "a cow". I said she was overweight. And she is. So what. I don't think those pics are truly representative of her weight over the years. She struggles. A lot. And goes up and down the scale. A lot. All it means is that she probably isn't as fit or thin as those who seem to bounce back from pregnancy effortlessly.
She'll probably do just fine with her close-together pregnancies. I don't think she's fully recovered from her surgery yet though, and it would have been wiser to wait a few more months or a year to fully heal and replenish maternal nutritional stores. Not doing so will probably set her back a bit with her next recovery. It's her choice though.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were privy to her medical records, her body fat% and clothing size.
But silly me. YOU KNOW EVERYTHING.

I'm 5'0. If I gain or lose 3lbs, you can tell. I think Jessica might be the same way. Sure, it seems like she fluctuates, but it's probably not that many pounds at all.

sometimes I wonder if our vision is skewed also, because society is so overweight now that what to us seems normal is actually....overweight. Like how some department stores call the plus sized section "today's woman"
She is a plus size model, plus size models are small for being plus sized, they're still models. It is what it is. Even if it's stupid. Which it is. But someone buys into it cause they're still doing it.

I guess we are all overweight then if we are not a size 2.
Better go throw up.

In the 80's and early 90's the sample sizes provided for actors/models were sizes 6-8 and 10. The sizes used to be 6/7, 7/8, etc... It's quite a drastic difference when you look at the 0-2 now. R. Witherspoon she lost weight from a 4-6 so she could have more choices in clothing. She could not fit into anything provided now.
I think what people see, through media, has affected views. At one point models like Twiggy were a rarity. Now they are all twigs. I would love it if thy showed every size, without the attached labels.

Yep. You have to take into account that the 'super models' were freaking glamazons as well (until Kate Moss came along and heroine chic came back and stayed), but most had I guess what they called an athletic build. You could not count their ribs.
It is silliness because there are so many different frames, builds and body types. All should be covered.

exactly.
She's probably a size 6 in levi's. LOL I'm just saying. Their sizes are wrong...or maybe they're right and everyone else is wrong..doubt it.
But I wear a 6 and I'm overweight and I'm 5'7 (5'6.75 no one ever lets me be 5'7 dammit) so it just goes to show you. How odd bodies are.
Which is why I don't like discussing weight because everyone thinks they know everything but they don't because everyone's body is different.

Absolute truth.
Everyone carries weight differently.

Well, 2 more. Cindy Crawford who is 5'9 and was considered at a great/healthy body weight 20 years ago.
And Robyn Lawley who is 6'2 and considered plus size in 2012
Again, what? Lol.

Robyn lawley is not plus size. Jessica Simpson has never been obese but she does have a weight problem. She seems to naturally have a medium to large frame which celebs are no longer allowed to have. She is not fat by any means but I think she has to work hard to be a size 4 or 6. I also think she seemed to gain a lot of weight while pregnant but with her time and money the weight should come off easily.

My understanding is that this baby wasn't planned and was a surprise. What's she supposed to do, not have the kid because some random people on a message board think she should have waited longer between kids?
