Best cozy wintertime sheets e.v.e.r.

Okay, all this bedding talk is making me wonder if I ever told y'all about these sheets - Microloft Sheets by Berkshire. They are absolutely heavenly. Yes, they are a bit pricy, but they are totally worth it. We've had our set for about 6 years now - I just launder them and put them right back on the bed - and they still look as new as the day I bought them. They are incredibly soft micro-fleece. The minute you get in bed, you will be perfectly warm and snuggly, but not too warm (says the menopausal hot-flash woman). They are way better than flannel. Way. Get your 20% BB&B coupons and go get 'em before they sell out. You can get them on Berkshire's web site also, but the 20% off at the brick and mortar BB&B stores is the best deal I've found. We've gotten them for all Mr B's kids and I'd gotten them for my Mom & Dad a few years before they passed away. My folks said they slept better in those sheets than they had in years. And, uh, no I do not work for Berkshire or BB&B. I just really love these sheets and wanted to share with the curlies. Do eet!!!! :rabbit:

Thank you.....I'm needing new sheets and these sound perfect.

iroc 11-29-2012 10:35 AM

This is hysterical. That sounded like an infommercial!!

I always need new sheets. I never buy them. I have about 3 sheet sets per bed.

I will look into these, but it sounds like I may freak out at the price!

Actually, those aren't so bad, as sheets go. Sheets are pretty pricey.

I think I'd rather sleep in a muddy ditch on a cold rainy night than sleep on those sheets.

Really.

I cannot sleep on microfiber or flannel or fleece or any of those soft/warm/synthetic things. I must must MUST have cold snappy COTTON percale sheets. Or silk charmeuse. Anything with polyester burns me. Anything that doesn't feel cold to the touch makes me insane. My mother always sends me flannel sheets. I've been forced to sleep on them while visiting her house. Made me want to blow my head off.

Hee! "And if you call in the next ten minutes, you'll get TWO sets of sheets for the price of ONE!" :sign5:

RCW, I'm sorry you will not be able to partake of the awesomeness of these sheets. I really thought they might be too warm for me because of the hot flash issue, but they're pure perfection. I understand if you have a sensitivity though.

I'm fairly certain these are the sheets we have--I bought a few sets of them a couple of years ago at BB&B. We have never used anything else since. Ever. Not even in the summer. I had so much trouble getting out of bed when we first got them--I'm not even exaggerating.

We just remove them, wash them, and put them back on the bed. I used all my other "flannel" sheets as coverings for my furniture in storage! Since we use them constantly, they are looking a little pilly and are not as soft as when new...but considering that they've been in constant use rotation for about 3 years, that says a lot about the quality.

We sleep hot, and often, even in winter, I sleep only under the flat sheet.

For those of you who, like me, H.A.T.E. getting into bed onto cold sheets--which even regular flannel can be--and don't like the idea of heated bedding, these sheets are the biz. Getting into bed on other sheets for me was like sliding between two sheets of ice. Absolute torture. I haven't done heated bedding since 1990, when I pulled back my sheets to remove them and found my electric blanket was charred. Never again.

Best.sheets.ever.

My mom has those. Oh my God, I hate them. They're too hot. Soft, but way too hot.

Josephine 11-29-2012 12:44 PM

I love warm sheets but ouch, those are 100% polyester, I can only to natural fiber since I have eczema. 50% poly sheets make me itch like crazy!

I love my micro fleece sheets. I have to force myself to wait til December to put them on. In fall and spring I use jersey sheets and in summer I use sateen, but man I never sleep as well as with the micro fleece sheets, a heavy 'Korean mink' blanket, and heavy comforter.

mrspoppers 11-29-2012 10:33 PM

I have those! Costco had them last winter for $35. I love them.

goldencurly 11-30-2012 04:49 AM

RCW & RCC are hotties while I am a fridgid b____! I have some knockoffs of these and they don't last as long so I will be looking into the real McCoys! Thank you for the infomercial!

PS - I can't wait for hot flashes: I've never been warm in my life!!!!!!

My mom had micro fleece sheets on at their house over thanksgiving. Hated them. Not only were they hot, they were sticky and claustrophobia inducing too - couldn't move or turn over without fighting them. No thanks!

B-wavy 11-30-2012 07:24 AM

Who knew there were so many microfleece haters? ;-)

We bought some knock-offs at Kohls a couple of years after we got the Berkshire sheets. The knockoffs were awful! They were much thicker, not nearly as soft, and we both felt almost suffocated by them.

golden, I would gladly share my hot flashes with you if I could. Really.

Be careful what you wish for...

jeepcurlygurl 11-30-2012 08:33 AM

I too am waiting for hot flashes. Being hot and sweaty for a few years sounds like a relief after being cold and shivering almost every day for my entire life. But alas, not even a hint of that yet. Waiting....waiting....waiting....

There is no better way to sleep in microfleece (or jersey or flannel) than naked.

Right??!!! :headbang:

I don't typically sleep nude because I'm always afraid something will happen in the middle of the night (earthquake country, fire, burglary, etc.), but when I do indulge, these sheets make it a decadent, heavenly experience. It was a shame to go back to wearing pjs. I indulge occasionally.

I absolutely loathe cotton or satin sheets.

Oh yes, I love my korean blanket! My parents house is cold so I use a sheet, korean blanket and then comforter. My current apt is nice and toasty, I don't need all that. In fact, I hardly ever have to turn the heat on or wear a lot of clothes, it's so comfortable.

I am wishing she would share!!!

I am always cold. Except when I am freezing. The worst is when my left side is almost okay but my right side is icy. What is with that???

MUST FIND THESE SHEETS!

I am in my office right now and the thermostat directly behind me says 73 and I am wearing a long sleeved t-shirt, wool turtleneck sweater, skiers long-john bottoms, slacks, wool knee-high boot socks and boots. And I am cold. Daydreaming about sheets.

Like.Australia 11-30-2012 03:06 PM

Oy. We recently turned up our thermostats to 69/70 because the baby was waking up with cold hands. I am BOILING. I much prefer a cold house!
