I always check several different places. There are at least 2 Christmas speciality shops in every town around me. I look in those and at dollar & drug stores.
I almost forgot Lowes. The closest one to me always has fantastic Christmas decorations.

I absolutely will. My mom surprised me with it a few years ago, and I adore it. They skate around to 'Christmas time is here'.

I've just bought some but they're warm white not blue white so I hope they'll be ok. A friend had some of the bluey ones and doesn't like them either, says they look awful.
Hmm, maybe I need to check what mine look like - don't want to find I don't like them when I've got my tree up. And definitely don't want to go out shopping for more.

It's too early in our house yet, our tree only goes up the weekend before Christmas but its one of my favourite things. I'm a bit bossy when it comes to the tree lol!
We always have a real one. A nice fat 5 foot one
I love old Christmas photographs they look so magical and everyone is really dressed up. We don't dress up for Christmas even going round to family or the year we had Christmas dinner at a posh restaurant. Jeans and jumpers all around!

^ I was always a bossy when it came to the tree, too. It took several years to talk my mom into packing away our hand made ornaments on the childhood tree. When I finally had decorating freedom, I held onto it with a death grip.
More LED drama! When I was driving home from work this morning I saw the main decorations in the center of my town. It is a beautiful idea. Mini trees as far as the eye can see, wrapped in cool LED lights, but the 2 main trees were done in warm toned white lights. It throws the whole thing off. They should have done them in the same or in color.

I usually stuff lights up into my gold grapevine star, so try to keep an eye out for unusual things to use that you can add to. This star wasn't originally intended as a topper, but that's what I use it for.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I love my Charlie Brown tree. I keep it up all the time and just switch it up with seasonally appropriate ornaments.
The cats think it's real.
I don't have the space for a large real one. The BF and I go cut one of those down for his place. It's fun. We haven't done this year yet because he prefers to do it when it feels wintry. I tell him that he'll never cut before Christmas at that rate!

That second pic cracks me up. It looks like an outtake from "Catzilla and the Snowman", haha. I just made that up.

After last night; I'm wishing I had a prelit tree. I put the lights on and re-did them three times! I bought all new lights this year and the cords seem to be bigger. It's bugging me. I need to go home tonight, remove the ornaments, and try hiding the cords better.

Aw, I love a good Charlie Brown tree. Especially when decorated with fur balls.

My own "first Christmas" ornament. Around 32 years without losing the picture on it or chipping. Hope to keep it around long enough to have hang next to my kids' first Christmas ornaments :-)

I started in 1976 buying a Hallmark ornament a year. Have extras for some years due to gifts, etc.
This is one I have in my collection (though stupid me I didn't keep the box). Mine is in good condition and both books are still being held. I don't put it on the tree anymore; put it in a curio cabinet.

I haven't got mine up yet, DH just cut it yesterday, it is a pinion pine.... But here is a picture from last year. I'll use the same white lights and decorations. I love the scent and mood that my Christmas tree brings to my home.

Those ornaments are so sweet.
I love some of the Hallmark ornaments. I wanted their Muppet collection in the worst way.
I am still in a tizzy. My ice skating Peanuts are no where to be found, along with my tree skirt.

kitschy, I love that red chair, it's like a throne to sit in while opening gifts!!
Fifi, I hope you're able to find it, don't give up! Every time we move I swear something goes missing and I'll spot it in a picture and think "Wait, where is that?!?".
Every year the dog likes to use the tree skirt to wrap his toys up in and play with. He'll nudge his toys over to the skirt that I've carefully straightened out and commence rolling his toy up in it, nudging and biting at it.
