Last accident or last period?

June 12, 2006. I haven't had a period in 6 years.
don't have them. i track my period so it's never a surprise, comes like clockwork. i wear the diva cup so i don't have leaks, except at night when the seal wasn't good and i think laying on my back but even then it wasn't an accident really.

was your accident due to not knowing girlfriend had arrived or from inadequate protection?

there's a supplement called DIM (look it up). one of the things it's supposed to do is regulate hormones. it might have an impact on your heavy flow. it's good for other things too but look it up for yourself.

My last period I was running a 5K and didn't find a bathroom soon enough after the race.

My period has become ridiculously heavy in the past couple of years. The first day and a half, I go through a super plus tampon every hour. I can use the Diva cup after the first day or so but it leaks if I try to use it too early in my cycle. I think my cervix sits low during the first day or two and takes up space in the cup.
At work a couple years ago. Luckily I was wearing a very long top that came down to my thighs and hid the damage! Ugh! I've used the Diva Cup for years but very rarely I have a mishap.
At home, during the night a few times, I've leaked through to my pjs and sheets but it's been years and when I didnt wear overnight pads. My flow has gotten much much lighter and I've started wearing tampons anyways esp on heavy days.

Okay now I remember once I did in public. It was 13 years ago at a job. I took off my jacket, and wrapped it around my waist. Then I went to the mall wich was 5 mins away and bought some khakis from Macys. Back then I didnt get cramps so I never knew it was coming. Now i feel it at least 5-10 mins before it comes down and then it's really light the first day.

Last month. My periods have gotten heavier since I went off the pill and got an IUD. My Diva cup can't always keep up.

It's been yrs, my periods are regular now so I know when to expect them and how heavy or light they'll be on whatever days thank goodness because I remember way back when I was in the 8th grade and I had an overflow accident in my last class of the day, the bell rang for us to leave and board the buses and when I saw the blood on my seat I quickly sat down and refused to move. The whole period thing was still new to me so I was embarassed on top of that I had a male teacher who came up to me when he saw me sitting there and proceeded to ask me what was wrong I could barely answer and just started crying and then one of my female teachers came in and I finally told her and she helped me out and we got everything situated. I ended up missing the bus though, luckily one of my other teachers lived down the road from me so she called to get permission to take me home.

Well...I was like click work too...completely unable to contain but regular. Now I'm on two forms of birth control so I'm not supposed to bleed...so it's always an accident. Completely sporadic and I can't plan it anymore cause I'm not supposed to have it. Just had an accident last Thursday...right after I put new NuvaRing in...what a joke! Lol

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
Only once back when I was in middle school. It was lucky I left school early because I had been coughing too much and asked to leave to see a doctor, so I imagine it happened at some point between the doctor's and getting home. But I did take a bus.
September 2007. Last period, period!

I recently tried DIM to see if it would help with my extremely heavy day. Well, after taking the first DIM tablet, I felt a little nauseated. No big deal. But then the next day when I took another one, that thing made me feel CRAZY. My heart was beating about 120 beats per minute. My temperature shot up to about 102. I got a really bad headache. I had chills and then felt burning hot. I seriously thought, "What have I done to myself."

Anyway, I felt normal again the next day and promptly threw them darn DIM pills away.

That product gets great reviews on the internet and definitely works for lots of ladies, but it did not agree with me one bit.
I have an acicdent every month. My periods are so heavy and I've grown weary with trying to stem the tide. I use a Diva cup and found it helpful for day time use but still struggle with overnight protection.

A member here suggested I use Depends overnight and those work well. I can get sleep now but I'll still wake up to a murder scene if I'm not careful.

About 3 months ago. I'm on the birth control where you only have your period every 3 months. All I can say is whoever created that ish will have my eternal worship.

Anyway, the leak happened because I was working out my kinks with the Diva cup and just waited too long and it overflowed. Guess the seal broke somehow? I don't know and don't much care. I'm more careful now.

Even though my periods are very predictable, it's like a freaking joke for them to get started and stopped. Spotting, stop, spotting, stop, spotting stop, finally start the period, then after about 4 days I completely stop bleeding at night and only bleed during the day until I spot for another day or so, then I'm done. Stupid period.

When I was younger, before they diagnosed me with PCOS, I had the heaviest periods. I've never been able to put multiple tampons in, or even thought about it back then. I would go through an entire super plus tampon, and the super plus pad I was wearing and still bleed through in 45 minutes. I ALWAYS had a change of clothes or 3 in my locker at school. My mom had this huge bleeding problem right before she hit menopause, so I'm hoping to get a doc to approve a hysterectomy for me someday. Sooner would be better.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

My spotting is like that too. Every time I think I'm done with it and I don't need anything, BAM there goes another pair of underwear.
hmmm..at Disneyworld last month. Thankfully it wasn't big...and I had something on hand....just had to stuff toilet paper in panties...walk daughter back out to hubby...grab the bag...go back into the restroom. The one time I don't take the bag into the bathroom with me...

My periods so use to be so regular...now they come from anywhere between day 21 to 28. so fun
Are ridiculous periods just a normal side effect of aging? I never loved mine, but it had always been just a minor annoyance. A clockwork 27-day cycle, cramping the first couple of days easily resolved with ibuprofen, regular absorbency tampons more than sufficient.

Over the past year, though, things have changed. For one, my period never sneaks up on me. It announces its arrival a good five or six days in advance. I'd heard of PMS, of course, but I'd never really related to it. Now I know that it really is a thing. What used to be a little tummy ache the day before my flow has turned into full-on cramping and bloating for a week. I go up an entire clothing size, and I finally caved in and bought a mirror wardrobe. I get REALLY irritable. The other day, I yelled at my dog because he wanted to sniff every. blade. of grass during our morning walk. I completely lost it and was like, "Your sniffing time is in the evening. In the morning, you need to MOVE your fluffy little butt because I have places to be!" When we got back inside, he ran upstairs and hid under the bed and wouldn't come out until I left for work.

I'll leak through a tampon really quickly, but when I take it out, only one side is saturated. The other side is still completely white, yet my undies will be spotted. Cannot figure this out. Maybe my uterus has shifted.

I haven't been on BC in years. I've told myself it's because I prefer being hormone-free and intimately knowledgeable about my cycle (TCOYF), but really it's because I ended up with a high-deductible insurance plan that doesn't cover prescriptions. The insurance I'll have next year will include ACA provisions such as free lady care. I might have to consider pharmaceutically fixing my reproductive system. Maybe even an IUD. I'm over this whole menstruating thing.

Never again! (sort of)

I had only one really terrible one and I was a freshman in high school. OMG. It was like I had been violently dismembered.

They really should be more available. If I had a diva cup growing up, period would not have been a thing to dread (I don't have horrible periods and never have, I just dreaded the pads and the possible accidents and the embarrassment)

Now of course with my IUD I rarely have a period. I'm kinda missing it actually (don't kill me folks).

Have you tried menstrual cups? I know they aren't for everyone, but they help with the manageability of some people's periods.

I believe I have PMS around the time of my period
and it only intensifies my severe depression. I'm more inclined to be snippy with my husband, I cry a lot, my tummy hurts and let's not talk about the runs that come with Aunt Flo (TMI again).

My period is much lighter than it was a few years ago, though, and some of you ladies have terrible symptoms so I guess I'm lucky. I hope you can find a solution that helps.
