Who Me?

The ball of my foot, at the base of my big toe, hurts when I wear heels because that seems to be what absorbs most of the weight/impact. Does anyone have any brilliant suggestions or products? There seems to be some things out there for the "ball of foot" but they're usually more centered around the middle toe, not focused right on the bid toe ball. I don't know if I should go for a pad/cushion directly under the painful ball, or a pad cushion elsewhere to help redistribute the weight...suggestions?

Maybe if you can't find what you need on the market you could look into getting custom made orthotics? That way you could explain what you need, they can test you with that machine to see how your weight is distributed and they will be made specifically for your feet. It may be worth the money in the long run.

So far it's more like I don't know what I need! I figured I'd check if someone has had a similar issue. I feel like the right insert could be amazing if I can just figure out what I need'

I have used the insert where it only goes where the ball of the foot should be. Took me a little time to get them adjusted "just right, but love them in most of my heels.

Another thing I found and I'm so sorry because I don't remember where. You know those toe socks? The kind that will only cover your toes and leave the back of your foot free for slides or slingbacks or whatever. I found a nude pair of them that were open toed (very narrow, too), but the whole bottom part was cushioned a bit, covered the entire ball of your foot and had little anti-slip dots on the underside. Those things are pimp for giving me just enough cushion!

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Just wondering, do you wear pointy-toed shoes?? Maybe a bunion is forming.

I'd think that if you stretch out your plantar fascia and calf after wearing your heels it will help take the edge off, along with some good orthotics.
