Cowboy cookies are one of my favorites.
Tomorrow is my baking day for the work goodies!

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

I just made 6 dozen lemon cookies for a potluck lunch today.
Can anyone point me to a nut-free biscotti that is worth making? I used to be the biscotti queen but with a nut allergy in the house I don't make them anymore. Oh how I miss them so )-:

^ I make some of every flavor without nuts since my Uncle can't have them. I love nuts but they all seem perfectly edible without nuts.

Got the work goodies all done! Thank MERCY Mr. Spring emailed to tell me I only had to make 8 instead of 12 because I swear this seriously took me ALL darn day between the baking and printing all the labels and getting it all gussied up.
This stuff smells so good baking, it's killing me I don't have a test loaf. (and also makes me nervous I don't have a test loaf)
The fun starting!
Apple pie quick bread with pecans and craisins and baggies of homemade hot cocoa mix.

Alright, tomorrow I get to marshmallow-making and chewy caramel-making.
And a couple of breads.
And a pie.

We baked so much yesterday.
We got to my supervisors house after work to find her MIL making wonton soup. SO EFFEN GOOD!! i will never get it from a resturant again! We then made fudge and lemon bars. then had tea and chocolates! then made gingerbread cookies, 2 types of sugar cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. we then ate brocolli. fried rice, and shrimp. We packed everything up nicely for our coworkers and set back with tea and cheesecake. she then gave us chinese scarf and necklaces and pack us lunch for today! Cant wait to do this next year!

WOW Springy! That's impressive! You are so sweet to do that for Mr. Springy's co-workers! I covet your kitchen...especially your KitchenAid.

thelio, that sounds like such a fun time!!!
Is it just me or is it hard to bake/cook in a kitchen that isn't yours? When I'm at my neighbors house and give her a hand with small stuff it feels weird because everything is so different and I don't have my stuff.
kasden, that mixer is one of the best things Mr. Spring ever convinced me to get (I'm such a cheapskate)! My best friend has said for years she refuses to even use a hand mixer and mixes anything she bakes by hand and I always give her a hard time about it (jokingly, of course). Well, I almost had a heart attack last week when she asked me for advice on which Kitchenaid to get! She's recently gone gluten free and while mixing up some super stiff dough she had to call her husband in to help and she realized it was finally time. HAHA Now she's a total convert and absolutely loves it plus I was able to help her get it for a good deal, gotta love that. She said while trying to mix that dough by hand she could hear me in her head "You can get so many other things done while it's mixing, it's so nice!"
Sorry for the side story, I'm just so darn happy she finally got a mixer.
