My cinnamon roll dough is rising. I've made the components of the Buche de Noel and will assemble it later today. I'm also going to make screaming ginger cookies--DH is super excited and said if they're too spicy, he'll eat the whole batch himself.

Yes! I remember you posting about them a while back. Then I made gingerbread men last week, and DH was saying how he would like a really ginger-y cookie, and a light bulb went off.

Xmas eve dinner at my house with the Oddparents and sisters. I ate too much and still have a stomach ache but everything was yummy (if I do say so myself).
In my family, Christmas isn't just for kids so yes, we buy each other LOTS of gifts!

Saria - I thought of you when my sister brought homemade marshmallows wrapped around salted caramel.

Just to follow up: the Screaming Ginger Cookies are so good. They might be my new favorite cookie, which is saying a lot because I lurve chocolate chip cookies.

Starmie, everyone loved the dip! I'm definitely glad I got crab instead of lobster. I baked it in a pretty shallow and wide dish so there was plenty of surface area to get browned and bubbly.

As usual I made too many cookies and am taking some to work. My oatmeal raisin cookies ended up smooshing into a big blob while in a plastic bag so only a few were salvageable. Otherwise the rest came out great! I still have yet to eat any.

Somebody stole/Bogarted/threw out the giant Ziploc bag of leftover Termini Bros cookies that were on the goody table...

...I vote "threw out" because I'm sure everybody just assumed they were "stale" because of the way they looked.

Not.happy.

Maybe this is my punishment for bogarting the torrone.....but there were only 2 pieces for 50 people and all everybody was doing was picking them up and turning them over while speculating what they were. It's a dog-eat-dog world out here in these parts, torrone-wise. I had to do what I had to do.
