Mighty Dog. Maybe they don't make that dog food anymore. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I seen an Alpo commercial.
(Lol... Seen! Are y'all paying attention?)

Not an actual product, but I haven't seen Bob Vila in any commercials lately. Is Bob Vila his own brand?
Weren't there Silly Putty commercials, too? And Hot Wheels, I haven't seen those lately, either.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

I was thinking about silly putty and hot wheels on my way home. Also, the race car track you put together and races toy cars on. I believe they had a few different names. You could lean part of the track against a wall... That was an awesome toy.
And apparently, given all the coverage, Easy Bake Oven commercials are a mess now. I have not seen one with my own two eyes in many years. I had no idea they were pink now. They looked like ugly early 80's microwaves the last time I saw one.

Minxy, I think it was "We wear short shorts....." (I used to sing it at my stepsister, when she walked around with Nair on her legs).
Rice krispies was still advertising about 20 years ago. They did an opera parody that went "No more Rice Krispies!" My x- husband walked around singing it for days. It really was funny. I can't remember what Snap, Crackle and Pop did; maybe they were the singers?
Are California Raisins still being advertised?

Commercials for this are still on. I see them all the time. Now they will automatically turn the lights on when you or someone else entered your home! (Cue clip of burglar breaking window and running away). LOL
I also see sanitary napkin commercials all the time. Usually Always.

There's not as many PSA's as there was when I was a kid. Remember the "this is your brain on drugs" then there was Sport Billy and Sport Lilly talking about the benefits of exercise. There was a commercial about asthma, and the Boy Scouts.
And does anyone else remember The Church of Later Day Saints (The Mormans) ran a bunch of ads about morals. Super heavy handed but damn did they have some catchy tunes "when you tell one lie, it leads to another/ when you tell two lies to cover each other/when you tell three lie Oh brother! "
They also had an Opera about lying staring a young Alfonso Ribeiro "Who broke my window/why is my stomach so nervous and queasy"

I believe the re did the 80's commercial we knew years later and changed it to short skirts.
No, they are not.
We did get hammered with PSA's. I love looking at them on Youtube *some with fondness, the rest to cry laughing at because they were capital K-razy, and being told what to think, feel, say and do 24-7 was rather obnoxious in the long run. i never had a problem figuring the stuff out on my own.* The ones on morals were too too much, in a total after school special kind of way.

Yes, it is. I mainly see it late at night. Also, another company has halfway adopted the slogan. It simply won't retire.

Smokey the Bear. Only YOU can prevent forest fires! I see him on billboards around here, but haven't seen a commercial for him...in a very, very, very long time.
There was also another PSA with a dog, I think, that focused on getting kidnapped or lost in a store or something like that...anybody remember? NM, it's McGruff the dog and he talked about all kinds of stuff like drugs, staying in school, bullying and safety (according to Wikipedia...and also according to Wikipedia, he's been in commercials lately, but I totally haven't seen them, so I'm still claiming it). Take a bite out of crime!
And, I'd just like you to be grateful that I actually googled Smokey before posting so you knew the right spelling of his name. You're welcome.
