Extra toothbrushes (and other items) for guests

Do you keep a stash of extras around in case you have company? What are some things you keep around?

My guest bath is pretty equipped. I work in a dental office, so I have extra toothbrushes, floss, mouth wash & toothpaste. Other items are spray deodorant, body washes (male & female), shampoos & conditioners,(ones I've bought, but didn't like) small bottles of perfume, wet wipes. I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of anything else right now.
We do keep a stash of toothbrushes and toothpaste for guests. We just recently got a guest bedroom, so my mom has been going a little crazy with equipping it... She was totally trying to buy slippers and robes for the guest room when we were at BB&B the other day!

Other than that, we don't technically have a guest bathroom, so we just make sure people know that they're welcome to use our shampoo/conditioner/body wash, if they need it. Or, my mom has a whole bunch of hotel shampoos/conditioners/soaps that she has "collected" (taken) over the years. I think she's planning to put them in the guest room at some point, actually. People usually bring their own, though.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.
If you're dating and so forth, do you buy or be sure to have stuff at your place for your SO to use. Not only sleep over stuff but stuff they like or need? Or have you had SOs do that for you? Snacks only they like or maybe paraphernalia for contact lenses, menstrual stuff, OTC meds?

Spider, my SO spends 99.9% of his time at my place on the weekends, so yes I make sure I have things there for him. We cook together on the weekends, so I go to the store on my day off (friday) and pick up what we need. I don't like nuts or popcorn, but he does so I make sure I have it at my place for him.
I keep extra everything. I am my father's daughter, he of the 'must have 2 of everything' religion. I don't keep things necessarily for guests (I don't like having much company anymore so other than my sister and boyfriends I don't often have overnight guests) but I do have to keep spares of everything or I get anxious.

As for going to other people's houses, I always take all of my own personal stuff. I'm just anal about such things.

This is the first house where I've kept so many extras on hand, mainly because I know most who visit will probably be flying in and it helps keep what they have to pack to a minimum.

Jeep, I always travel with all my own stuff too, I'm just too picky not to.

If I was serious with someone who stayed the night occasionally I'd keep a few extras on hand for them.

I don't have a separate guest bath
(Well I guess technically in the basement I do, but no one has ever stayed down there), but I do have have one of the drawers in one of the guest rooms filled with small toiletries, Jammie pants, t shirts and socks in a few sizes.

Goodness. I'm lucky if I have enough stuff for the people who actually live at my house on a regular basis, let alone anyone who visits.

You are beautiful!
I used to have everything mentioned, but don't now that there's less space and I am trying to get rid of things because I feel cramped with too much stuff around.

I have a friend who works for an airline and therefore flies for free, so she visits often to go to a fun concert or something. I have a lot of things of hers as far as gel, skin care products, etc. Otherwise, most guests can just use what we have - though I would like to have spare toothbrushes on hand because that's so annoying if you visit and forget yours!

I have a frequent guest with damaged/overprocessed hair who seriously uses a normal sized bottle of conditioner over a weekend. I hide the Jessicurl and put out the Pantene when she's there to avoid the amount of money the visit would cost me otherwise....

No SO staying over these days, but I think accomodating someone who's there often would be fairly expected, whether buying things myself or having him bring them over. Most guys I have dated are so low-maintenance that nothing would be needed beyond what I already have and a toothbrush, though!

But at least the pews never attend yoga!
People never/rarely visit me, but I still keep stuff for oral care, hair care, soaps, lotions, etc. for guests. But I used to do a lot of sleepovers with last boyfriend and he seriously had lots of crap I would need (including pads, tampons, castor oil, toothpaste, etc.).

I would not buy robes and slippers for a guest, but that's just me.

I don't have overnight guests and I don't encourage overnight guests - except my mom, and she just uses my stuff. I usually have extra toothbrushes on hand.

If I went to someone else's house I'd bring my own things, but I don't stay at other peoples houses.

When Mr man and I started dating, there were some things that he liked having that I didn't usually keep. I integrated those things into my house to accommodate him when he stayed over.

All our bedrooms are full, so we do not have a guest room. The only people who really sleep over at my house are friends of the kids for sleepovers, and I do keep extra toothbrushes around for them. Other than that...if you come to my house and need to sleep over for some reason, please be prepared to sleep on the couch and bring your own toiletries. I can provide bedding, towels, a toothbrush, and some basic toiletries...maybe...but I'm not a hotel keeper.
Amneris and murrrcat like this.
I don't expect my hosts to have anything for me except for towels.
Thinking back I'm pretty sure I've never stayed with anyone who has all the extras I keep on hand, or even just a few. Heck, most of the time we're lucky to get a clean towel.

I only do it because I know we'll have family visit since we live so far away, but if we lived close to them I probably wouldn't have much.

During our last family visit I filled up a basket with all the stuff I wasn't using and you would have thought they won the lottery trying all the stuff. Just shows me I need to give up on trying any new products.

I have a study/guest room so I have clean sheets and extra towels. I have cheap shampoo/cond (suave) and body wash in the second bathroom. That's all I have.

I have an extra set of toiletries at bfs place because it was annoying bringing that every time. He bought a toothbrush for me at his place and he brought an extra one and left it at my place.

I buy heineken for him since he likes it. He really appreciated that especially since I hate beer and never bought it before. He buys goose for me when he goes to the liquor store since that's my drink of choice and the juices I like. We haven't gotten to food level yet since we don't eat much at home.
Suave and Pantene hair products for the guests? LOLOL too funny
