I love your stuff! You're so talented! That copper leaf necklace is fantastic, as is the stained glass, illustration, all of it!

Stuff I always end up doodling at work:
I always end up doing one I really like, then cutting it out with scissors and putting it in my cube to look at. I used to belong to a couple of "Post-It Note Doodler" groups on Flickr; it's fun to see what people doodle during everyday life tasks.
My dad and many of his 14 siblings can draw. Almost all of my dad's siblings had kids so I have a HUGE amount of relatives--I have 35 first cousins--and it is AMAZING to see who inherited the drawing abilities.

Well thanks! There are plenty more where that came from, lol.
I love when people post their artwork...
I was on FB, where 95% of my friends are family members. I was randomly browsing when a young cousin posted some doodles of hers.....I couldn't believe it!
I have another cousin closer to my age, who can't draw a thing--except horses. The most beautiful horses you ever saw. All these family members I mention are on my dad's side.
It's like, all these people you think you've known all your life until you see their drawings.
My daughter did an AWESOME dragon in her art class that I plan on framing one of these days. When I had it in my cube, people were always commenting on it. Her dad can draw too; I have no idea where THAT came from because NO one else in his family can draw. I take that back--all of his sisters are really good with crafts. Still, none of them can draw/paint.

I have no idea of the process but I absolutely LOVE stained glass and always wanted to see how it is made.

eche - your work is beautiful, the glasswork in particular, is stunning. I really hope you can get back to making a living out of it - your work deserves to be out there!
Alas, I have not an artistic bone in my body.

Sinistral, you must be my doppel ganger because women in barroque outfits is all I ever drew in class last year. And I got my ability to draw from my father too.
I can't by the life of me remember which webiste I use for storing images...I remember I posted my "playing mantis" on a thread here...something like "share your art". Anyone remember it?
Hold on...
Here's the thread.
And here's my mantis:

I can draw. I dropped out of art school after 2yrs about 2yrs ago. My favorite class was Drawing, my professor was stern and a good teacher. He taught me to not be afraid to erase a drawing; I have the ability to draw it again. Also, I learned to look at objects as just being different shapes glued together. That made drawing hands a lot easier. He would make us draw 25 to 50 sketches in our sketchbooks for homework which was hell at times but it was helpful in the long run. I need to start drawing and painting more, I miss the discipline I once had. My avatar is actually a painting I did a few months back.

Yes, I draw both traditionally with pencil and paper and digitally. When I do digital drawings, I don't leave it as a sketch; I paint it in. Right now I'm at school so I can't take a picture of my traditional drawings and show you but I think my account on deviantart.com is called Astonied as well and you can see my digital paintings on there. I been kind of slacking though. I only draw portraits of people. I always have to use photos as references because I can't think up anything at the top of my head. I'm not a pro and I'm not a amataur either. I'm pretty good but I'd like to get better. I want to remember the anatomy of the human body in different positions so that I don't have to use references anymore. I wanted to be a concept artist in the future but I decided to pursue something else instead.

I used to draw tattoos for people. Quite often, I have a tattoo on my back that I drew, and I drew the one on my husband's back as well.
I also did a couple for friends, one got hers, the other didn't.
And the friend that did get it, wants me to do one of her cat, which I was going to do digitally, but I lost the pen to my tablet, then finally the tablet itself.
I need to get another one, but ugh, it's like $400 + for a good sized one. *whine*

Great work ladies!
I do mostly digital/vector art. Here's my most recently commissioned piece. I love this time of year I get to do portraits like this one as gifts for people

Dang. I would pay some darn good money for someone who can design the tattoo I want. I should probably go to the guy I want to tattoo me (he did my other one and I loved it!), but he has a weird schedule and it's totally and completely out of my way.

Products
This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

I got a question for artists, how do you guys come up with subjects for still life? I probably spend more time trying to think of something to draw than actually drawing it.
