Christmas dinner - what are you serving

I've done brunch the last few years but switching to dinner. Not sure what's on the menu yet besides ham, maybe stuffed chicken breasts and garlic mashed potatoes. And hot dog for my oldest son :/

Probably a chicken dish, not a whole one though. Mac-n-cheese, collard greens, potato salad, rolls and/or corn bread, Red Velvet cake, stuffing.

I'm having Christmas Eve dinner at my house for my parents and sisters. I'll be making rotini with tomato sauce and meatballs, linguini with alfredo sauce and chicken, penne with olive oil, garlic, and hot pepper flakes, shrimp cocktail, a big relish tray with homemade ranch and blue cheese dressings, lots of cookies, a flour-free sugar-free chocolate torte, and I think I'll make a batch of pumpkin spice Bailey's to get me through the evening. : )

That made it sound like I make my own pasta. I don't. I prefer dried pastas to fresh. I do make all my own sauces, meatballs, dressings, cookies, cakes, etc.

We have Christmas Breakfast. With enough breakfast meats to clog anybody's heart. 3 breakfast meats (bacon, sausage and ham), 2 kinds of hashbrowns (one with chives and one without), eggs, cinnamon rolls, toast, juice, etc. It's a grand time.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Breakfast is the only thing I do - scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, overnight French toast & monkey bread.

LA, i have made it before. it's very easy and VERY delicious! :-)

pork tenderloin is so inexpensive, it's also a very budget conscious meal.

We're having our neighbors and her mom over and I'm doing a variety of yet to be determined appetizers. Her mom is almost fully blind and I knew she would feel more comfortable with finger food type things instead of a sit down meal. I'm still trying to figure out what all I want to make so any suggestions are welcome!

Considering:
sausage balls (If I don't make these once a year Mr. Spring would probably divorce me )
baked slider sized ham & cheese sandwiches
homemade cheez-its
lobster and spinach dip
ham roll-ups (the trashy kind of my youth with cream cheese and sweet pickle, yay!)
something sweet

I feel like I need something veggie based in there other than spinach. My neighbor offered to bring something and she's an excellent cook, I just don't know what to suggest. I'm so excited, I always want to do appetizer type stuff, but we never have people over!

I might do a small Christmas eve dinner for Mr. Spring and I, we'll see how it goes. I saw a quarter ham (spiral sliced, I think) at TJ's today that would be the perfect size for us and I might get that and make some sides.

springy, to add to the crescent roll appetizer extravaganza - pesto roll-ups, pizza roll-ups, pretty much anything roll-ups. I cut the triangles in half or in thirds to make wee little ones for appetizers. (I love crescent rolls).

CC, those are the ones! I've seen them on a few different blogs and have always thought they'd be a fun appetizer/small food thing to serve, but this is my first opportunity to give them a try. They look really good.

Jeep, ditto that. I love me a pig in a blanket. I'm trying to remember there will only be 5 of us, I keep chanting it mentally to myself because if i don't I'll have way too much food.

I haven't tried them because I don't eat meat, but they smell amazing! The only differnce I did, was sprinkle cheese on them before baking.

The last time I did them was the day my parents moved and I made them up the night before, then baked when we got to the new house. Turned out fine!

That's a good thing to know, I want to make as much the day before as I can. I'm kind of on the fence about using the Swiss because Mr. S never likes it, but it seems like it would be really good in these.

I'd like to make a nice breakfast/brunch--maybe a breakfast casserole and/or cinnamon rolls.

I don't go much for "traditional" holiday dinners (turkey, etc). I might make something special though--I'm thinking tamales.
