Anyone into Organic Clothes (100% organic cotton)?

Ever since I listened to a doctor giving a lecture about Environmental Medicine treatments (and how much chemicals there are around us) I have been a litle interested in trying Organic clothes, for fun.
Seems most of them are ugly though..

I read that Levi's has come out with organic Jeans (called Levi's Eco) and www.gaiam.com have some stuff too. There are a bunch of stuff out there online, but I know nothing about them.

I was just wondering if anyone is into this stuff at all?

:P
a lot of moms on my sewing board are into the organic fabrics. Everything including cotton, hemp, cotton velour and of course now the yummy bamboo velour. They make their kids clothing and stuff for themselves so can't help you on that part but a lot of them stock stuff on a website called Hyena Cart. It is WAHM stuff and the prices reflect that.
I've had a button down hemp sweater for years. It's not stylish or interesting at all, but it's soft and the perfect weight to wear over a turtleneck. I wear it alot and it still looks brand new.
I would consider buying more organic clothing (as long as it's made in the US and not beyond my budget).

I have bamboo pillowcases that are super soft and I love them. I hope to get some sheets at some point. And I'd love to have a dress or skirt or top made out of that material.

I wear lots of hemp and organic cotton (I'm a hemp ho). Those fabrics can be quite pretty. Here are 2 designers I buy from often. Some of their stuff is hippy dippy, but some are quite stylish:

Haha! They had some crazy clothers there, but I kinda liked them still. Not sure I ***uld be able to pull them off though.

This was cute:

Thanks for the links and replies!
We have some organic t-shirts in the dog clothing line I've been working on for the last year. :P

I think organic clothes are a great idea.

It's so frustrating to try and live a "green" life when pretty much everything in our society is so destructive to the environment.

The doctor behaind it has even written a book on how to make your home as "friendly" as possible. It is interesting I think.

My latest thing is I am gonna get this water filter they sell there and stop drinking water in plastic bottles. The plastic gives away a lot of bad stuff into the water and all the plastic isn't good for the invironment.

They say organic underwear is a good way to start too. Close to the body.

I think it is interesting anyways. Well see how far I can take it.
Do you wear jewelry? That's another thing to be cautious with. A lot of gemstones and minerals are treated with radiation to change their color or generally enhance them. I became aware of it when I started buying beads and learning more about how stones/gems are dyed and cut.

So what about Diamonds? Are they treated too?

It's difficult sometimes to find non-granola/crunchy clothing that is organic or hemp. I'm a fan of satori movement bamboo tee shirts.

Treehugger is a great site. I'm also trying to find a hemp/silk wedding dress for the big date. Supposedly armani made one but I can't seem to locate it online. I did find a company in santa fe that does some nice organic dresses.

It would probably be easier to buy the hemp/silk fabric and have a seamstress make you what you want. Hemp/silk is a gorgeous fabric, BTW...I have a few things in that fabric.
