Hysterectomy scheduled

That's friggin infuriating!! How old are u if may ask? I'm 34 and have been saying this basically since I've had a period. Abt 2-3 years ago when I was getting my IUD replaced I was *****ing abt how they wouldn't tie my tubes...and she said yes they would. I would think maybe ud be able to sign something saying u wont sue if u change ur mind later...or something along those lines.

Man that really sucks....id be highly pissed off..might even see if there was anything legal I could do. I mean it's ur body. That's just infuriating!!

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
Oh...and Spider, I know I can't do laparoscopic dr said...I think things are too big. So would that rule out Divinci too?

(I'm not sure if there is a robot that can do it nonlaproscopically, or if DiVinci can be used nonlaproscopically.)

But either way, I know so many women who've had it done (in various ways, with various parts taken out and left in), and they are all great now.

You will be, too.

I'll PM you my #. Call or text if you want to talk.

I have just paid out of pocket for the office visits this year.

I don't know that I want to go the legal route. My uncle is a personal injury lawyer and I'm more than confident he could handle it, but in general, I personally do not like the sue happy environment that has developed lately. I would rather try for another doctor's approval than suing.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
I don't have kids either btw. Maybe the insurance thing is it? Cause by the time ur in ur 30's I think u know urself well enough to make a decision like that.

Ooooohhhh! Someone who IS in almost my exact situation! That might give me some leverage if I ask again and they tell me I'm too young or in case I want to have kids. Might have to pursue this a bit more...I love these boards and how helpful people are!

My family gave up ages ago...trying to get me to say maybe to kids. I don't really like them...and certainly not enuf to give them my body for a year. I have friends with kids and cousins so I can see then and play with them some. Thankfully people started realizing that I knew better what was best for me.

U know the horrible pain and heavy bleeding started last Thursday. It hasn't been non stop stabbing pain but at least painful bloat and a tender abdomen. The pain killers dr have me help..no more stabbing pain but I am exhausted...painfully bloated...so much so that it feels like when I eat the food doesn't go all the way down cause there is no room. I have this awful feeling that I'm gonna feel like this all the way till surgery....

I got a hair appt Friday...gonna go way shorter...1) because I need a change 2) because I think I look younger with shorter hair and 3) because I know it'll be easier for me to handle shorter

I shed normally a lot too when my hair is long it tangles so much...I shed tons less when it's shorter

I had a hysterectomy when I was 27. I already had 2 children, so I didn't have a problem getting it done. I had it done vaginally and by the 6th day I was home and feeling pretty good. I actually cooked dinner that evening. I did freeze a lot of meals before I went in the hospital and that was helpful. I was trying to take care of a 4 & 5 year old and housework and laundry. I over did it the 1st week and that did set me back. Take advantage of being able to rest and be off your feet. Will someone be there to help you out?

ETA: I was able to keep my ovaries so no hormones, weight gain, hair loss, etc. I did lose some weight after the surgery, but I think that was because I didn't have much of an appetite as I was healing.

Sunshine, when I was pregnant with my 1st, a friend of mine (hadn't had children yet) told me the reason I was throwing up was becuz the baby was a foreign object and my body was trying to get rid of it. She then started showing pics of what my baby looked like at the stage I was at. It looked like an alien and it did creep me out.
No...no one to help. I mean I have friends that will visit...and I think my neighbor might bring me some food. Gonna stock up on easy microwave stuff and protien shakes..also frozen veggies and stuff with fiber

Yeah, I've seen the pictures of babies as they grow in the womb. And yep, they do look like aliens. My brother and sister-in-law sent us a picture of one of those 3D or 4D or whatever where you can actually see the face and fingers and toes and sex. THAT creeped me out!

Those are all great ideas! Homemade stew freezes well. So does chili, soups, homemade wheat bread or rolls to help with the fiber. I also freeze hamburgers I make as one pound tends to make about 4 for me and eating 4 hamburgers in a timely manner doesn't happen. When I decide I want one again, I get one out of the freezer and let it defrost. I like my hamburgers cold, so once it's defrosted I just put ketchup on it and eat it alone (no bun, etc.). I have also had good luck with freezing chicken and beef enchiladas and chicken and beef fajitas, but YMMV.

There were some really clueless people in my generation and some still are. She also said that if you quit nursing when it's a full moon your boobs will stay full and high. I have no idea where she was getting her info.

Goddess, I 2nd it on the fiber.

Lol...@lotsawaves....there are no words...lol
And I do eat lots of spinach...I'd have broccoli too and blueberries. I also take ground flax meal and coconut oil...hopefully they will help.

Did they hit anyone with any large payments that needed to be made day of surgery. I know last time I had to pay $75. That's fine...but anything larger? If it's something they can bill me for I'm ok...I'm currently making payments on stuff and their fine with that
