Did they hit anyone with any large payments that needed to be made day of surgery. I know last time I had to pay $75. That's fine...but anything larger? If it's something they can bill me for I'm ok...I'm currently making payments on stuff and their fine with that

I've always been billed after they know what the insurance is going to pay, the writeoff for being in their network (only get paid a certain amount or charge a certain amount for being in the insurance companies network). I think my insurance calls for 20% for me until I hit my deductable ($2000).

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.

No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.
Good luck! Wishing you a restful and relaxing recovery.

Thanks guys!
And yeah I wasn't realizing that the co pay for surgery is the same regardless of surgery. Only difference this time is I will have to pay for the 2 days in the hospital I think. I should be allowed to make payments to all if it...currently with back expenses I owe abt $500 now...I pay them $50 every 2 weeks. The nurse in the office dealing with the paperwork said they'd be fine with that

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
So I have upped the norethindrone to 5mg 3 times a day instead of 2 as the dr told me. It's been a week since I've been doing that....and the bleeding hasn't stopped. I'm taking the tummy friendly iron. I'm still exhausted cause I won't stop bleeding. He told me the NuvaRing may be giving me extra estrogen so when this one is up I won't put a new one in. Because he upped the norethindrone before I'm inclined to maybe up it to 4. I'm hoping when I take this NuvaRing out maybe that helps the bleeding. I just don't know what to do.

Good luck GoddessCurls. Waiting is the worst part.
2/c and some 3A.
Protein sensitive but can use occasionally
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
It really is....these damn side effects of the fibroids...I got acid reflux...don't feel like my food is digesting...pee every 10 minutes...I'm bloated and constipated. I am praying after this damn uterus is gone my body can go back to normal!

Remember, no sex afterward for at least 6 weeks but as long as it takes until your dr approves it. Even if it's not intercourse, don't do it.
3b (with 3c tendencies) on modified CG

Yeah...I know...I'm so not happy about that part.

Ok....I gotta be there at 6am Monday. I was asking ladies on HysterSisters about what toiletries to bring and one mentioned she didn't get in the shower for a week! Please tell me that's rare. I was thinking about hair stuff...and while of course I'm not thinking about how I look....I can't go a week without showering or wetting and combing they my hair....it will be one big tangle that I'll never get thru. I figured u guys would understand here.

The stuff I'm reading online, it seems like it's a couple days before you can shower and will need assistance because you'll be weak.

My dad was in the shower the very next day after his surgery, it was part of his rehabilitation to know exactly how to get in and out of the shower without injuring himself.

If you're worried about your hair, they do have a really cool thing that looks like a shower cap, but when massaged on the scalp, it turns into shampoo and cleans your hair. It even warms up, so you're not getting a cold shampoo. Once they're done cleaning your hair, they dry it off with a towel and can apply some leave-in. Is your hair long enough to braid? I would see if you can get someone to braid it or wear it in a high messy bun. That way, you're not always running your hands through it and adding oil to it and it won't get dirty as quickly.

I actually cut it in anticipation of this....when it's long tangles are impossible. It's above shoulders now. I don't really need to wash it...just wet it...load it with conditioner and comb thru it. So what I'm doing this weekend is doing a SheaMoisture yucca Boabab treatment right now...I'll do moisturizing after. The morning of I'll shower and it some moisturizing stuff in it. I'll bring my moisturizing stuff with me...a wide too the shower comb and and a spray bottle. I figure I can sit in bed if I can't shower and spray the heck out of it...load it up with SheaMoisture until I can comb it. Hopefully that will work.

Good idea on the fiber! My dad had both his knees replaced this year and he was eating multiple FiberOne bars a day and it still didn't help him keep things moving. The painkillers made everything come to a screeching halt.

My dad is having his second knee replacement in April. Not an easy surgery. Hope your dad is doing well.
Well...if that's the case...I hope the hospital gives me laxatives

Best wishes! (((HUGS)))
You can also take magnesium in pills. I can't stand milk of magnesia, but I have no problem with pills - available in any drugstore. Good luck and we'll be thinking of you and waiting for the happy post when it is over.

Yes...I will be taking my phone with me...and since I doubt I'll be doing anything at all for at least the first 2 weeks I'll be browsing and posting here. I'll certainly be updating everyone when I wake up. I'm wondering how different I'll feel...I've never had an organ removed before...still got gallbladder, appendix,tonsils...so I'm curious.
