When my father passed away I sold all his at a pawn shop.

curlypearl 12-29-2012 02:44 PM

Heavens, C19, I have no idea but make sure you remove the bullets and bury them (or something). Why on earth do you have a gun?

(spoken like the true city slicker, freaked-out liberal that I am - have never even seen a gun).

Yes, I understand. I wasn't criticizing you know - just surprised.

Stay safe. :thumbleft:

Every state has different laws.
NRA|NRA Near You
Put in your zip code and you'll get a list of businesses and organizations. They'll be able to help.

I suggest going back to where you bought it. All gun stores are pretty busy now but there you would most likely get the best deal, not get ripped off, and know you would go about selling it the right way.

Yeah, you should be able to go to most guns stores and sell it there.

I absolutely agree with selling it to a gun store. That way you can be assured that a certified dealer will run a background check on whoever purchases it next.

CP, you crack me up. Liberals are gun owners too ;) haha

I completely agree with that. Just like a persons comfort level with or around one varies due to different circumstances.

Fifi.G 12-30-2012 12:08 PM

In fact, I came across an article title a few weeks ago that said something about hypocritical liberal gun owners. Oh giant eye roll! Could you be more stereotypical? :)

I know but you won't find one gun store that will pick up right now due to all the wacks out there stocking up. My husband frequents a gun store nearby and said it had been crazy since the shooting happened.

FYI he goes there to socialize.

And be prepared for the conversations from gun enthusiasts while you are there.

Thanks for the warning and info.

Should I bring along the bullets they sold me, too? I didn't use them.

Yes they will buy that back too. Good luck!

curlyarca 12-31-2012 07:20 AM

A buy-back program in L.A. They got rocket grenade launchers (2).

So if there are two in the city.....I wouldn't be so optimistic about "need" based on population density.

A lot of the posts were deleted. What was the conflict? Just curious.
