What are your New Year's Resolutions?

To be better about keeping in touch with people and promptly returning emails/calls.

To exercise regularly.

I also like the idea about the jar with notes about good things that happen. I might try to do that.

I work out quite regularly but since I travel a lot and I have a lot of dinners out I need to watch what I eat a bit more when I can't cook or I'm not home.

I want to drink more water and take a multivitamin everyday.

I want to give a bit more to charity. My hubby and I are blessed with great careers and everything we could ever want. I just read Somaly Mam's book about the child sex slaves in Cambodia and I started donating to her cause but I want to find a few more charities that help women and female children in third world countries.

I want to start hot yoga again

I want to cut out all diet pop ( or soda to the Americans) I don't drink regular soft drinks because of the sugar but the aspartame is terrible and needs to go!

I want to add more leafy green veggies to my diet

I'd like to also start volunteering to host group therapy sessions again once a week.

I'd like to plan a trip with my dad, he would love that.

I'm working towards small manageable goals.

I'm working on our family budget & starting a real savings. This includes a lot more cooking at home! I'm thinking of following the Dave Ramsey plan.

I'm doing a 40 days to declutter your home challenge. At the end of the 40 days I will have 400 less items. I plan to do this quarterly, hopefully.

I plan to accumulate less things, aka junk.

I already turned all my hangers around. At the end of the year whichever hangers (clothing) remains backwards will be donated.

It's mainly things I need to do in my life to limit my stress and feel happier.

I just thought of my resolutions:

1. take GRE
2. take CHT exam
3. get a better paying job
4. go on vacation somewhere in the world that is not my home. in other words, dont stay at home and not do anything and call it vacation. actually get on a plane and go far, far away!

Fat does not make you fat. It's actually pretty important.
One of my resolutions last year was to lose weight and I did! 55 pounds! I plan to keep it off.

This year, I plan to be more physical and exercise. Maybe start a running program. I need to tone up.

Also find a job, added to my list on Dec 5.

I was born to be a pessimist. My blood type is B Negative.

I'm trying to figure out how many articles of clothing we can hold onto for sentimental reasons. We both seem to "collect" shirts!

I've seen people take sentimental tshirts and frame them, or you could make throw pillows. Or a quilt.

so I'm watching Made (on mtv)

and the girl is losing weight, she has two jars one that says Pounds to go and Pounds lost, and she has like those gem rocks you put in an aquarium in them, so she transfers them to see the weightloss visual.

I might do that too!

I'm going to have so many jars in my room when I get home HAHAHAHAAAH

Got my grades. I think I have to add this to the jar. I must.
I ain't thirsty. There's plenty of fish in the sea, but I don't want all of them, can I have some standards? Or do we just have to settle, for someone's who meh and will do.

To get into shape....I've started using the Flex Belt for the abs and the butt. I just ordered a rowing machine to target the entire body and for cardio. I've also started an exercise routine.

That's OK OBB. Maybe they were too ambitious or not the right ones.

You make me smile and I like you anyway - even if you fail at all your resolutions.

I still haven't come up with a goal for this year yet.
I like to set a big goal and then a bunch of small ones. Over the last 5 years or so I've met every big goal - quit smoking, finished a marathon, got back in shape, have taken more time for myself and said "no" to meetings and boards and things that I really don't want to do, etc.
The small ones are always harder. Be nicer to my boss, quit being so cranky, stop tiddling my hair, stop picking at my nails, etc. Those don't usually make it too long.
In Western PA
Found NC in 2004. CG since 2-05, going grey since 9-05. 3B with some 3A.
Hair texture-medium/fine, porosity-normal except for the ends which are porous, elasticity-normal.
Suave & VO5 cond, LA Looks Sport Gel, oils, honey, vinegar.

I still haven't started jogging.

My jar is actually coming along nicely TBH. So at least I'm keeping one thing.

But...I have the jars. Progress. Forward.

I have lost the five lbs I gained back after I lost, from christmas. So it's like Christmas break never happened.

My belated New Years resolution is to eat more veggies. So far so good

I haven't started a jar yet! Darn it! I just need to pick one up at the store, but I've forgotten to write it on my shopping list.

I am doing pretty well keeping in touch with people and prompting returning emails/calls.
