Tablets. What do you like?

My bf's mom got me a ipad mini for Christmas and I love it. It's the wifi only one but it hasn't been a problem except when I'm riding in the car and want to look something up, but then I use my phone. I'm gonna get a keyboard case for it soon so I can use it for school and such.

Scrunch out water with random t-shirt

Long sleeve shirt plop.
I have an iPad, too, and a case with a keyboard attached for long typing sessions. In lieu of a flash drive, consider using a service like dropbox or even apple's icloud to save your data.

I have a 7-year old laptop that's still chugging along, but I hardly ever take it out the house anymore. My iPad, on the other hand, goes with me where ever I go (I carry a decent sized purse, lol). I got the wifi only version, though, so the only thing that I'm considering now is whether or not to buy a personal hotspot type device. I don't want to use my phone because I still have the unlimited data package with att and any change to my settings will void that out.

I did wonder if I could use my phone as a hot spot with an iPad. I didn't know it would negate my unlimited data plan.
Yeah, if you have an unlimited plan with AT&T, more than likely, you've been grandfathered in. In order to use the tethering, you'd have to chose a new data plan and you can't switch back to the old unlimited plan.

I use the data plan on my phone more than I use the talk/text minutes. I am on the internet all the time. Plus, I look at a lot of Netflix & Youtube, & I stream music, too.

I need to crunch the numbers though, and shop around for the best deal. It could be that I end up paying about the same either way, lol.

I have the wifi only iPad, though, so that's not an option.
I bought myself the Kindle Fire HD for Christmas and I love it. I am still learning how to use it. I have an iPhone 5, so between the two of them I can do anything I need to do.

co-wash - NaturelleGrow Coconut Water or Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm Bark & Blue Malva Cleansing Conditioners
LI - KCKT mixed w/ SM C & H Curl & Style Milk
DC - NG Mango & Coconut H2O or Chamomile/Brdck Root
Gel - SM souffle (winter), KCCC (summer) or CR Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel (year round)

Ayurvedic treatments - Jamila Henna, Sukesh, Aloe Vera Powder, Hibiscus Powder
.

Hubby loves his iPad, but I want something I can carry in my purse. I want either a kindle/nook or ipad mini. I want to be able to read books and it's too hard on my iphone 4s. I'll probably go with the ipad mini because we already share all the apps, etc and I can sync with my iphone and laptop.

My hubby has a PC in his office, I have an Apple desk top and the new IPad with retina display, I really like the IPad.
My husband has the Blackberry tablet but he prefers the IPad so I think he is going to buy one for himself now and hopefully he will leave mine alone!

I have a Kindle but I don't even use it, I realized that I prefer having the actual novel that way I can lend out my books and add them to my constantly growing library. I do have books uploaded to my I pad but they are mostly psychology texts and a few classics.

I heart my iPad..... That is all
"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.Ē
Thanks, folks.

I'll probably go with the iPad. The lack of Flash (Adobe, not drive) is annoying, but since it affects newer Android platforms as well, I may as well stick with what I know.

I'll get the biggest memory since I've filled up my 64g phone twice.

Not sure whether to get the wifi only or not. This will primarily be for home use, and am not sure if I want an extra monthly charge for 'just in case' when I can use my iPhone in that kind of situation.

For those who don't want to carry two devices...I just got the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone/tablet hybrid and I love it! And you can download a free flash player for it.

It's about the size of an ipad mini.

Note 2 -

5.95 x 3.17 x 0.37 in
Weight 0.40 pound

Ipad mini -

7.87 x 5.3 x .28
Weight: 0.68 pound
Guess you're right...not as close as I thought.

LOIS (OS); cottony, TYPE 4 hair, fine/med strands; no cones bcz my hair hates them; last relaxer '98; now low porosity, ignores most natural hair rules; BC #8

faves: suave, v05 shampoo, conditioner (my own), raw shea butter, castor oil, peanut oil, aloe juice
I got my iPad Friday, and am loving it so far. The retina display is nice on this screen size. I splurged for the 128gb cellular capable one. I fill up my 64gb phone, so the extra space is nice, and the cellular capability makes it more portable, which is worth the monthly add-on for me.

I do, but I have lots of movies and games, and that share thing is music only.

I was comparing the Ipad to the Ipad mini this weekend and if I were going for it (which I am probably not) I would definitely get the Ipad for the retina display. The difference is the screen was like night and day.

I'm glad you like it! My husband uses a browser called Puffin when he needs Flash on his iPad. I haven't tried it yet but he says it's fine--slow but fine.
