The other day, I heard someone reference a study (I don't know what it was, sorry!) where a group of new 20-something employees at a company were told that their supervisor had described them using a word beginning with "e", and then were asked to guess what it was. They all guessed words like excellent, efficient, and energetic. The actual word? Entitled. Hah!
I hope it will be G for good

It is interesting to read up on all the studies. I have tried different training methods, etc., but I am sometimes at a loss.

I worry about my youngest nephews. Yes, they are fascinating to watch when dealing with technology, but having a face to face conversation is almost impossible.
They are way out in left field when it comes to actual human interaction.

Especially when there are more interesting threads, such as the one on your most recent purchase.

Update: My boss told me this afternoon to let the other intern go. This time I'm relieved. This one really is entitled and disrespectful. I had some sympathy for the girl, but this guy...ugh. It felt wrong to dismiss her and keep him around.

Kids these days... (Now that I'm 30, I can say it.)

And once again thank you for the birthday wishes!

Yep, you earn that griping right. Hehe.

I find this to be a very interesting topic. Every single generation has things in common, that come and/or go with age And every generation has widely seen characteristics known to them. We've all had our woe's. You just have to learn from them, and each other.

You are welcome

As a Gen X-er, I remember everyone calling us lazy slackers with no work ethic. A fair amount of them sucked it up and started working, lol.

^ Oh yes! And a common misunderstanding the "Why Bother" mantra.

I really do enjoy looking at the things that shape some, not all, but some in a generation. X had Aids, Space Shuttle Challenger, Ronnie, being told you would be the first generation to do worse than your parents, non stop, etc. Also, the different parenting styles used.

People patterns.

I'm glad that the other intern is gone. It seems fair with his poor performance.

In obviously more important news, how did I miss an undiebuddy thread?
